Good look at layout of the Xenoblade stage. Some people said it was going to be big, but I'd say Bridge of Eldin was wider. I think it is a fair size.
Some of the footage is from the other adverts they've released.
Bit concerned about this stage. Those platforms at the bottom there are too small for Smashing on, don't want it to have the same problem as New Pork City. Hopefully there's two more big platforms underneath them.

So that mean some character will have more then 8 thanks to alt costume ? think wire frame mac and light suits Samus ( the one shaped like the light suit and not just the color)
Also pikachu and jigglypuff will finally get more alt color (hat) for once.
The Villagers have stole Timmy or Tommy Nook eye ...

Yeah I don't know what Hyperactivity is on about. It most definitely is him.
There is no Light Suit alt that changes shape. Just the pallete swap.
Wire Frame is just a really creative use of a texture.
Also the Villager is basically four sets of alt models with two colours each so that confirms that alternative models don't add to the colour count from what we've seen. That's not to say someone couldn't have more than eight, but best to expect just eight including alt models rather than in addition of.
Also I think you're thinking of the Project M Light Suit. The official Smash only has the texture change.

I'd say the 8 colors are including alts like wireframe little mac etc. :/

No, it seems like alternate models count as one of the costumes, if available, especially considering the rumor that mentioned the 8 colors before the official confirmation.
For example, like confirmed today, each gender of the Villager only has 4 colors (two previously revealed ones and the two from today). So, Samus having 8 colors means no actual costume/model change.
What I saw was 12, which is still expensive...

Well technically it's supposed to be Dark Pit. Which is why I made the design choice to use a black color palette with him. It's all in the finer details.

One could argue ZSS is an alt turned into a completely unique character. Also I suspect making reference that one could go suitless in the original game doesn't translate well into a 3D model i.e. ZSS in a leotard and an arm cannon.

IF there actually are 5 remaining characters, bringing the total to 56 (assuming each kind of Mii gets its own amiibo), you're looking at spending $727.44.
I'm only thinking of getting Samus. Looking at how Marth translated, I'm kind of uneasy about what the Ike one will look like.

Looking at the Brawl palette swaps, I'm not sure what much you could do for some characters. I mean with Kirby you could make him orange or purple I guess. Same with Game and Watch. What would you do with Luigi's other two colors? That NES Golf alt except green?
An easy one of course would be the black and white Yoshis. Black and White Yoshis may seem simple, but it would be a really cool addition that ties into the games.

It's interesting how the 3DS version of the stage is overall much smaller than the home version (probably because differences in screen size and resolution) and how the platform layout varies from one to another.
Compare the row of floating platforms behind the left half-arch in both versions.
Samus, Zero Suit Samus whenever she comes out, maybe Metaknight. I'd be interested in Donkey Kong, but there is no way in hell that fur will have decent paint apps.
That's kinda like saying Wario was a playable character since Smash Bros 64.

Custom Miis would be kind of cool, but I don't think so.
Even if there are Amiibo alts, only scenario I'd buy these, is if they're a different character.
