After how Sakurai just slapped fans of Dark Samus, the other feasible Metroid rep unless he's seriously thinking Anthony Higgs, maybe he's just being cruel, but that doesn't make sense. There's still slots on the roster, so I think he's a legitimate possibility.

Dude, Dark Samus was confirmed Assist Trophy months ago. Why are you acting like she has less of a chance just because there's a Samus palette that references her?

Armor set aesthetics are the weak point of that game. Especially the heavy armor sets.

I still kind of want to see a Ridley LP of Heavy Rain, where all he does is criticize it and get confused. The voice'd probably get old, though, and it's gotta be hell on Slowbeef's larynx.

Anyway, yeah, between that video and the fact that plenty of other more serious characters like Ganondorf, Ike, Snake, or Mewtwo have goofier animations (As well as characters that don't have many animations to go off of. This isn't Capcom, saying Phoenix Wright can't be in TvC/MvC3 because he's never had an animated walk cycle, then adding him into UMvC3 anyway; most of Little Mac's animations have been "punch," "block," "duck," and "run," and he seems to be doing just fine). Besides, who wouldn't want to see Ridley doing goofy things such as get Screen KO'd (Unless his wingspan's stretched out; I can see some complaints there), slip on a banana, or get hit hard enough to make his eyes bulge out ala Olimar.

I'm really shocked that nobody's ported that Ridley over Ivysaur. The Pokemon trainer setup was a perfect opportunity for a mod encompassing all stages of the Other M Ridley life cycle, and yet it wasn't taken.

Honestly I'd be all for the next Metroid game returning to the classic 2D Platforming style, but go for a sillier, cartoony look just to give the series a bit more life (except Samus would be the straight-laced stoic MC).

Well, Shulk still have 4 more colors (or costumes) to go since we will get 8 colors/costumes each character. I haven't seen any picture of Kirby and Shulk yet.

Ridley will be in, except as that little fuzzy teethed monster, same size as Pikachu. His final smash is evolving into Ridley and doing a fly-by attack ala Super Metroid intro. Then he goes back to his fuzzy deadlyness.
