And you got Fusion, Dark and Light suits. The pink and purple alts are staples of both the Metroid and Smash series, and the green one has been in the Smash series since Smash 64, so it's a classic color to bring back.

I also don't like the PED armor. Looks too washed out for my taste.

I'm seriously about 10 minutes from the Irvine Spectrum. Would have and should have been spending every single day of the event there, giving you details and shit.

Looks plenty different to me. They could also make the other suits the alt colors are based on her alts. I'd much prefer fighting in the actual light suit rather than a pallet swap.
I think they're only really different because of the graphical changes. Only canonically different suits should really be alt costumes. Otherwise it might cause confusion and people believe they're different suits or whatever.
They could have been nice alts costumes but a lot of the reskins are based off of stuff like that. The different shape of the suits might have messed with the hitboxes too.

Bowser Jr.'s another one that blows my mind...he's one of those characters people have talked about for years and you always had a "nah, I doubt he'd be in" and then, BAM, he's in.

The problem is the difference between voicing a negative opinion and "wanton negativity" is very subjective to every reader. If people have problems with whatever in the game it's their pejorative to voice them. Some people use harsher words to voice their criticism, but it can still be perfectly valid criticism. For instance--the stage roster in the 3DS version is shit. This is my criticism.

I started wanting him to be playable character ever since first time I saw Duck trophy in Melee. Yeah, I know it's weird but I knew that Dog and Duck had potential to be playable character. I really hope that it would happens!

Have to admit, unless the differences are pointed out or placed side-by-side, I really don't notice the changes in Samus' armor.
But I guess you'd have to be a fan of the series to pick it up.

I have something slightly similar. My friend and I have done a bunch of smash videos and letsplays together and he recently moved to Japan. We decided that we will stream smash 3ds stuff when it comes out and I would simply join him through skype, so we can get both of our commentary.
So basically I get to spend the next month happily narrating my friends gameplay, all while wishing I could play the game now.
It's not terrible and I am happy to do it but still... its like going to a restaurant where while you wait for your food they bring what you ordered out and you can talk about how delicious everything is but cant eat it
I'd say, starting Tuesday, some lucky folks will get the game early.
