Im looking for some gaming podcast that have black (african american) girls or guys on them. I use to listen to Dead Pixel Live with Derrick H. on allgames but he stopped after 700 episodes or so. Now I need another podcast to replace this empty slot with. If you know of any please let me know thanks.

Sadly no. N'Gai Croal used to guest every now and again on shows. Someone needs to step into the breach and make this happen.

I don't know if it's what you're looking for, but IGN often upload videos Call of Duty gameplay / tricks etc etc and the guy who presents it (BobbyA or something like that?) is black.
He's a really likable presenter, and I don't usually enjoy gameplay commentaries.

Edit: You also have KSI on YouTube, but the dude is a complete dickwad, so let's not include him.

Why does it matter if they're black?

Ok Stevey I get this a lot. In america, a lot of african americans have a totally different experience than any one else. I take it that your not black because if you were you wouldnt ask that question. For instance do you know what a quarter water is?

As a Friender, I can only but push and shill Woolie and his Canadian humor onto you.

He also makes appearances on IGNs Podcast unlocked(XB) and Podcast Beyond(PS). He does alot of video editing for IGN I believe.

Living in a place where you can get a quarter water/hear the term quarter water isn't exactly an exclusively african american experience growing up in America.

It just seems like a strange request is all.

Maybe he's black himself or has children who is black and wants someone he can more easily identify with. Bored with all white casters? Wants to see stuff from different perspective? I dont I can figure out many reasons. :)

The gaming editor for Nerdist is black, I think. I'm assuming they have a podcast, all I really know is that I saw their staff at a convention panel this past year and their gaming editor was a black guy, seemed pretty cool.

There's also Chris Smoove, but I don't think he does podcasts and I kind of get annoyed after a little while with his NBA 2K videos.

Give his videos a shot.

Where I live, everyone gets treated the same, I didn't mean to offend you or anything, it just genuinely seemed like an odd request, because to me, everyone's the same, so it doesnt matter what race they are.

TheGamer2323 on Youtube does solo video opinions but is pretty good at it. If his channel comes across as insanely stereotypical I think it's because he's playing it up, but he pretty regularily does pretty long videos about the stuff you would hear on gaming podcasts like the Bombcast.

As far as I know the only gaming podcast on the Nerdist network is the Indoor Kids. Kumail who co-hosts is Pakistani though.

Lol, childhood memories. It's more a inner city thing than a black thing. I mean, you do buy them at the bodega. Spanish kids know them too.

You're right though, different outlooks sometimes.

Does Wynton "prog" smith appear regularly on any podcasts? I could listen to that guy talk all day about bread or airplanes or whatever.

Preferably fightan games tho

Is Johnathan Holmes black? Hes good, dont know what hes up to since leaving dtoid tho

Considering how much they joked about his nondescript ethnicity on Podtoid, I have no idea. This is the first I've heard of him leaving, though. His Twitter page still has the website listed.

good question op, i like the bombcast but when they talked about ice t or "how people act in theatres doing horror movies" it makes me cringe and turns me off to the whole thing

really?

it isn't.

where do you live? people have different experiences in life, ya know...

Came to post this. This guy is legit and hilarious. He also will do some group skype vids and cherry pick the best moments. Him and the ModernWarNegro are near the top of my list when it comes to youtubers.

There is a PC podcast I used to listen to that has at least one black guy. http://ten6gaming.com/ has an itunes feed. They are just hobbyist but they can be entertaining.

Yes. I'm claiming him either way. So I'm not here to discuss it.

He has his, weekly?, podcast called "sup Holmes?"

Really liked his Mama bird side when he talked with Adelman.

Yeah, either way, his podcast is ace. He's a super-nice host, and he gets really interesting guests from within the games industry for each episode, to talk about their work and themselves for about an hour-and-a-half.

That does mean it favors a talk show format more than a conversational style, though, which might be different from most of the other suggestions.

Also look after Evan Narcisse and the stuff he does. He is featured on some podcasts, I think, at least as a guest sometimes.

1. Referring to quarter waters as a black experience is borderline racist.

2. Stop ganging up on someone for asking what the appeal is of a certain type of host. Maybe the answer is as simple as perspective, but let him fucking ask it instead of saying "don't go there" when there really is no reason not to go there. I mean, it's just an interesting question as to where a listener's perspective is coming from.

3. Scott Popular episodes are the best 8-4 Play episodes.

It would be great if someone made a wiki for gaming podcasts that included information about gender, race and sexual preferences- to many people the phenotype is an important qualification.

You know, for equality!

Mike Ross isn't really a podcaster, but he has a really fun YouTube series with Gootecks (who is Korean-American?) where they play Street Fighter and yell at each other.
