Just curious - do you find yourself trying games just because and dropping a lot of them, or do you try games that only look like they appeal to you and stick with them

Game Pass added 300+ games alone this year.

Ain't no way could I keep up with the pace.

Drop drop drop.

A huge part of the appeal is to be able to try different games without committing.

Why would I keep playing something that I don't like after testing it? Hell, I do that even after paying for a regular license.

I dropped Game Pass, but I think Indiana Jones was the only game I ever played through to completion.

I basically treated it as a demo service and it was of questionable value at that, but the price hike convinced me to drop it.

I mean yes. that's the nature of such a service. you can't play all games it offers, but you can try them all and see if you like them.

a recent example of one I will stick with is Routine, which I'd probably had ignored if it wasn't on GamePass.

that's the yin and yang of gamepass lol

I still persist with more games than I drop, but I have to say it was super easy to drop the Oblivion Remaster and Ninja Gaiden 4 having only spent a combined total of like $13 to try them as opposed to $140 or something.

I'd say its about 50/50 for me, since having the sub meant I would try stuff like a demo service.

If I ended up liking it, I'll finish it, and if I really like it just buy it on Steam.

Ball X Pit, The Alters, Everspace 2, Pacific Drive and Nine Sols I doubt I would've tried until big discount pricing...and I ended up loving all of them.

I only have so much time, of course I drop games. I mean, I even drop games bought with my own money.

Both Clair Obscur and Silksong got dropped. Not because they're bad, but because I found out they're not for me.

On the other hand f.ex., I ended up sticking with The Outer Worlds 2 even though I dropped the first game

It works out well for me 🤷‍♂️

Before I dropped gamepass I was dropping games 15 mins in.. but I tried hundreds and sunk 100s of hours across a few.
That was the appeal, always something to try. There was a value to that, just for me the price eventually outweighed the value of fewer outright purchases with the same money.

Not trying every single game that lands on GP.

But have tried a lot of games I would never have otherwise because they're there.

I try every game on the service. Easy to do with cloud. Just expands my perception of gaming to see more stuff. I complete a lot of games, sticking with the stuff I think is worth it.

When I was subbed, I used it more as a rental service to just try games I'd never buy. Having said that, I beat quite a few GP games.
