I've only been properly aquainted with the first two seasons so far. Current: Beat Hit > Brave Heart
1 - One Vision (it just jumps into the chorus right away after the evolution in perfect timing of awesomeness)

EDIT: Sad I didn't know about Taichi and Yamato until now... should I preorder Takeru and Hikari anyways? It'll bug me if I don't have the other two. Gabumon....

The cool thing about One Vision is that there is a different version for Dukemon, SaintGargomon and Sakuyamon that fit each evolution. It solved the problem of 02 of machine gun timing of Beat Hit that worked amazingly with Paildramon but didn't match Silphymon and Shakkoumon.
Rewatching through Tamers right now so I'll have to get there and see. I know Sakuyamon got her own unique theme during the evolution, but I'll have to rewatch them all since I know that one definitely was not part of One Vision.
Yup, the one I posted was Takato's version. Jenrya and Ruki (arguably the best vers.) have their own.
Digimon World 1 holds up imo, completed it a week ago again and it was still great fun. Used Frigimon and then Mamemon which was fun.
Not played DW2 and don't really want to but DW3 probably isn't too bad. Never did complete it but it is a bit grindy. If you don't mind that, I can't imagine DW3 being too bad so give that one a shot.

A couple of posts I've had in the not-too-distant past on this. If you're choosing between 2 and 3, I'd definitely go with Digimon World 2. 3 has a wider range of Digimon roaming about (I think), but to make the most out of the Digimon available to you is an extensively grinding endeavor. Add this with a dirt poor navigation system (a.k.a. Next to none) along with the numerous quests that have you going through long stretches of screens only to turn back and report (while random battles annoy you a'plenty), it's one of the greatest annoyances ever. It's still better than World 4 though.
Digimon World 2, while I like it, eh. Its mechanics aren't the best either. You dungeon-crawl through continents and fight using the superior 3-vs-3 battle system. However, just like World 3 with its "alternate server" that's essentially the same location as the main server but with hideous negative colors. Many of the dungeons are plastered with the same dingy floor/wall texture with only a little room for variance. Still I consider its progression 50x less of a chore than World 3. Its evolution system is the only direct negative it has compared to 3. It is not quite as grind heavy, but requires the capturing of Digimon, learning of skills and DNA Digivolution (I mean a lot of it) in order to min-max your team. You don't have to read a textbook, but you'll have to study up on it a bit if you want some solid direction as to where your team stands. On the other hand, Digimon World 3's evolution is very straightforward for the most past.
So yes, Digimon World 2 for a better overarching story (not that it means much in either), much less tedious narrative progression, additional upgrade mechanic in the Digi-Buggy (makes things less stale) and the better turn-based combat system. It also has Digimon catching, allowing you to catch whatever Digimon you like (caveat being to make the most out of it you have to do your own DNA research online. I would bring up the Tournament, but World 3 has it too (granted you get the PAL version of the game Digimon 2003 instead).
Digimon World 3 has a simpler, for the better, (but oh-so-cumbersome) evolution system. It has a Card Battle side-game which also mixes things up. It's an alright mini-game but far from making up for the awful traversal/quests you have to bear through the entire game.
The music in both is about the same quality as well as the character models. There are some monster models with slight animation improvements in World 3, but they're extremely minimal. Both have some nicely pre-rendered backdrops.

I was talking to my friend and it turns out she still has the D-Power/D-Ark digivice and apparently it can be connected to the computer.
So after some research and too much effort:
It runs awfully and it crashes when I try to battle online. (The website no longer exists.)
If anyone still has a US D-Power digivice then I can tell you how I did it, but it really isn't all that worth it.

The Last Element is really underrated imo.

S key is technique
A key is punch
W key is "firing attack"
Z key is kick
And Esc is surrender
Perhaps the most useful thing it does is save the Digimon on the digivice to the computer. Otherwise, when you have to change the batteries, it will reset.
It's worse when you see him move, lol.

I love World 1. I want to go back after I finish DW2. World 2 is fun, but repetitive. You can get a lot of digimon, but getting mega level digimon naturally is a grind. I took a break after fifty hours, but still haven't returned. I'm a few levels away from getting VenomMyotismon and Jijimon. I highly recommend a guide for the game.
The Digi-battle card game is a lot of fun too. That was my second favorite next to DW1. Just a card game with an option for polygon fights. The rules are simple to learn, but the game is still challenging at times too.
Digimon World 1 has the best "world" of the games. No other humans, just Digimon living their lives like people (well, most anyway).
Thanks for the answers i think i will go with dw2... maybe. Back in the days i had all 4 digimon games for psx (dw1, 2, 3 and card battle) and from them i would say that card battle was my favorite one but the disc broke so i could never finish it

From the digimon world games the second one was my favorite but i never finished it since i got bored after 30 hours and eventually deleted the save file but i could't bring myself to play it again.
Dw3 was awesome as well but i got stuck at the desert part. Back then i had no internet and i could't find out how to come out from the desert crossings. After searching for a way out for 20 mins i just turned off the game and never started it again.
From the bunch dw1 was my least favored game so i'm kind of surprised you all rate it above other world games. I even don't remember why i didn't like it (i would say i played it less then 2 hours all together)
It a shame that no digimon game could come close to the pokemon games on gameboy.

Yeah, X7 is great. I also really like X5, myself.
I have been listening to Break Up and I realized I made a huge mistake. I have been enjoying these songs for over a decade, its hard to rank them. I love all evolution themes all equally. Even the ones I didn't mention like Slash, Break Up and With the Will.
It looks like we are making some great progress with the clicks. We are down to the last 80k+. Keep on clicking folks.

As a long time Digimon fan, I have awaited for awesome figures but them after market prices... I still have my D-Reals too, but will need to Magic Marker them >_> (Wasn't me who stored them...)
Speaking of figurines and such, do y'all remember the little tiny Digimon figurines that came out when the show was first airing here in the US? Don't remember what they were called or anything but I remember getting them at KB Toys. I think they came in sets of 5 or 6 or something. I still have 'em all at my parents house; I had a TON of them.
I'm going back in a couple of weeks so I might have to bring them back here and take some pictures of them.

Because I didn't play DW2 (the premise didn't interest me when I read up on it) and DW3 while fun was grindy and felt like it went on too long so I got bored and didn't complete it.
I liked DW1s digimon look, each Digimon looked a lot better than the chibi-style of DW3. I also really liked the idea that the gameplay was based off the Virtual Pet. It was hard to get started with it as a child but eventually I figured it out and raised a great Centarumon that took down the whole game lol. (Never did get a Greymon until much later after I got the internet and could check what the reqs were). My first Ultimate was also Monzaemon from Toy Town after my Centarumon died, I proceeded to beat the game with it.
Only bad thing to me about the game was Gomamon and Tentomons absense (though the latter is in the bug land) but when I first played it, I didn't even realize it was out before the anime originally. (even though the Pal Boxart has the anime Digimon on it ) But I still wish those two were in it for raising. Oh well.
I did find some of the bugs and localization issues (ie bad grammar "Agumon is dropped HP chip" and text that overran outside the text box) funny though lol. And lucky I only ever ran into the PAL game-breaking issue once.
Anyway tl;dr: I have lots of fond memories of DW1, even completed it last week. <3 DW1.
Also on the figure talk, I wish I had the money so I could buy the Hikari one. Maybe the Takeru one as well... in fact I want all of them. Curse my lack of money

Any way you could set aside the $40ish in the next 4 months? Like around $10 a month to make it work? Amiami sells then below MSRP at around that price.

Oh yeah. I adored those things. I used to make towns for them like in Digimon World. I still have a couple of them. The quality took a dip in the later sets, though. In fact, the Japanese figures are more detailed/painted compared to the ones packaged for the US sets.

I'm surprised that the Gabumon line always seems to get the smallest print and I don't get why :/ Do things in Japan sell well BECAUSE most figures are limited and they do it for hardcore collectors that want to keep their value, or do they just not see it viable to do a reprint?
