Wasn't GX part of "Player's Choice" in NA and Europe? It couldn't have done that terrible.
if I recall correctly it was the incredibly terrible sales of the 3 GBA games that killed the series.

A DK stage catering to the minecart levels would be really cool, especially if there were Returns/Tropical Freeze style shenanigans going on to the track / the background.
Either way, this a silly argument guys. Why argue if the OG 151 is more popular than Dixie? Smash will eventually get Dixie as a character anyway. I'm almost positive she'll be DLC.

The gameplay is very different, but it's presentation style besides the music is nearly identical to Smash Bros. And it's actually incredibly fun. The look could use some touching up, it still kind of just looks like a flash game, but the gameplay's a riot.
