Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

Wow, a new character! lol

I had a feeling we'd be getting a veteran tonight.

I'll see myself out

Warm-up before PotD: if you had to choose, which veterans' voice clips would you completely redo and re-record?

My picks:
Jigglypuff - Like others, voice clips have been used since 64. There just doesn't seem to be many sound clips compared to many other characters. Plus, the Japanese voice for Purin sounds so much cuter and fits better for the character. Jigglypuff needs to sound more cuter than what's being heard.

King Dedede - What the hell am I hearing? He's speaking like he has a hole in his throat due to lung cancer. Seriously, worst voice effect ever.

Pit - They already changed the voice actor for Smash 4 but Pit's Brawl voice acting was confusing. When he taunts he sounds like a girl, when he fights he sounds like a child, and when he's star-KO'd, he sounds like a man.

Pic of the day. Here's one of the final battles in Smash Run, called "Run!" As you'd expect, it involves you dashing toward the finish line. In general, the fighters who are fast by default, equipped with speed-boosting equipment, and powered-up with speed boosts over the course of that Smash Run will have the advantage. However, speed isn't the only factor that will determine who will be victorious...

Those red things in the picture are called danger zones, and if you touch one, you'll get penalized by respawning farther back in the stage!! The danger zones disappear after someone else touches them, so fighters following those in the lead will have an advantage. You can still find speed boosts throughout the stage, so it'll be a heated battle 'till the end!!

Here's another final battle called "Climb!" Obviously, those that can jump or fly higher will have the advantage, but they also have to avoid the danger zones!! It gets pretty challenging if you've boosted your speed too much, as well. Everyone really gets into this when playing multiplayer.

On phone, sorry for delay.

Have you heard Urkel McCloud yet?

I would ask question the point of staying up for a daily pic after what went down last week, but given that once both games are out, we probably won't get something like this for at least five years. So I guess enjoy it?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIKMA!

Happy Birthday, Pikma!

Happy Birthdy, Pikma! :)

Oh hey Pikma happy birthday! Hope you get a good present today from Sakurai! :p

Thank you so much, call it ridiculous but it really means a lot to me, SmashGAF♥
Happy Birthday Pikma! You're an awesome part of SmashGAF, so I hope you have a great one!

Thank you Skully :3

It's nice to see more info about the challenges at the end of Smash Run. I'm still skeptical that it can match the glory of City Trial, but pics like these make me a little more hopeful.

Oh, and happy birthday, Pikma!

Nice, informative pics of the day. We didn't know a whole lot about the non-battle end challenges after a Smash Run until now. Looks like they could be fun!

Honestly, I don't know why so many of ya'll are so down on Smash Run, at least those of you who have played it. It's really fun!

Thank God. Was starving for some Smash Run information. We've been on a huge drought with that. About goddamn time, Sakurai. Keep it coming please.
EDIT: Music update too? Or am I just late on the Kid Icarus and Star Fox arrival?

*shrug*

Even though I sucked, I did enjoy my go at Smash Run. It was so buttery smooth.

It's nice that there are alternatives to the battle finish to Smash Run. I was thinking that there needed to be some use to all of those powerups, and varying modes should be good for that.

There's your answer.

Most people haven't played it.
