Meta Knight feels pretty great, but I always feel dirty using him. It's evident right off the bat he plays a country mile better than anyone else on the roster. It's pretty surprising everyone's in agreement, though.

I loved Pichu in Melee. If they turned him into Pichu Bros. in a later installment I think he'd work out a lot better. My logic is that one Pichu is too suck for Smash, so just double the Pichu.

He's also got the rare benefit as a species of being "son of Pikachu" status for eternity, so Pichu's somewhere between "pikachu, charizard, mewtwo and greninja" tier and "your favorite flavor-of-the-month trending pokemon from the most recent generation" tier. At least, in mindshare / marketability terms. Basically Jigglypuff levels.

If you brought Pichu back and actually made him fun to use in addition to being competitively viable, I doubt people would be throwing piss fits over his inclusion the way they were for, say, Snake or Lucario or Ike. Pichu's had a pseudo-strong position in terms of relevancy with nearly every generation.
