Haha, I can't remember who, but someone said I should have had a shitty "fuzzy, tilted leak pic" of the list; wish I had done that! Honestly, I should of had someone do a recount just to be safe, but I'm confident in what I have now. Even this Meta Knight thing was just my shitty memory, but the only issue I really ran into was that EviLore thing with the Yoshi reveal. Fortunately, that was fixable.

If I do another poll for Wii U launch, I'll definitely have someone help!

Is there anyone on the starting roster who hasn't been officially revealed yet? If so, that character may well appear. Otherwise, I expect a lot of "loose ends"-type pics giving more details on various game modes. Expect one or two menu shots, too.

Wario still hasn't been revealed and he would be a really weird omission from the starting roster, but I think that JP eShop pic of the roster is our starting one and Wario will just be hidden. I don't expect any more veteran reveals until after launch, as the rest of them are probably hidden.

Though it makes sense for Tetra and Toon Ganondorf to outclass their counterparts in every way. Shame we'll never get a chance to use them.

The funny part is that Meta Knight is one of my favorite characters in Brawl. I almost voted for him, but I thought long and hard about Oric's "Implementation" clause. I love MK as a character, but he is so broken as a fighter in Brawl, I just couldn't do it.

...So what does this mean for Fox?

And whoever said we're getting Custom Controls tonight, I second the notion.

I still think we're getting a Smash Bros. Direct next week to reveal the rest of the 3DS characters before release. Sakurai doesn't like spoilers, but I think he'd rather reveal them on his own terms rather than see them leaked on the internet right before launch - though it's a little late for that now, haha. So, in that case, tonight's Pic will be accompanied with an announcement of a Direct this weekend!

I say "3DS characters" because I am 100% convinced the Wii U version will launch with a few extra characters that will be offered as DLC for the 3DS version and which you will get for free if you buy the Wii U version.

Two, actually. Wouldn't Gaur Plain have Metal Face as well? And it does seem like it'll be fairly major for the Wii U - seeing as three have been revealed already, I could see four to six bosses being present in that version.

Assuming there's the same number of stages and ratio of past to new stages on the wii u version, just about every one of the roughly 5 or 6 stages left to be revealed would have to have a stage boss for that to happen. Which I do believe is actually fairly possible.
 
Hahahaha poor Meta Knight. He's a badass character in my book.

I was worried DK was gonna be last. If only I could remember who the hell I voted for.

My guesses for top 5:

5. Bowser. The other Mario veterans were in the 20 and Bowser has always been quite popular.
4. Wario. He seems quite popular.
3. Fox. Popular Smash character.
2. Link. People love the Zelda franchise.
1. Captain Falcon. He's a smash icon, I'd be very surprised if he isn't #1.

Zelda/Sheik could also be there, but I'm guessing she barely missed the cut. Same for Ness and Falco.
 
I'm guessing we won't see Magicant until launch since Ness is unlockable :(
