This is way late, but I've played Joy Mech Fight once and thought it was a lot of fun. I only used Sukapon and his moves are pretty cool. I've been a fan of his for a long time, I've been wanting him to be playable for a really long time.

It's like you guys have realized that you're almost out of chances to be hyped/disappointed and are trying to make these last few REALLY count.
Not really. Although the 3DS version's almost out, there's a whole new set of unreasonable expectations for the Wii U version and subsequent DLC.

Obviously Robin / Lucina is the best, as people are losing their fucking minds. Shame that the reaction to Shulk is relatively calm considering the leak. Anyway, here ya go:

The Robin/Lucina reveal was so great due to how unexpected it was. So many were banking on a Shulk reveal and even if it was FE, very few were holding out for Robin much less Lucina too.

I still want to actually try Smash Run myself. I played it at Smash Fest, but they passed it to me in the middle of someone else's game as Fox, so I was lost for a second. Seemed to have great potential, but I want to wait to try it again myself. Just one more month!

We haven't seen any evidence that he is, and we've known he's on that stage for a while now, so I doubt it.

It never really was, even though we got Robin instead of Chrom, was it?
Chrom could have been supposed to be in the roster at some point and was cut and used as an AT.

To be fair, there's not much point to calling them bosses if they're not defeatable. The Chimera in New Pork City and Birdo from Mushroom Kingdom 2 would be bosses by that definition.

It kind of was. Between the wrongness about te Shulk reveal and the wrongness about Chrom it became apparent that the source had been out of the loop for some time.
Ridley has been beaten to death by this thread.

oh I know, I just meant there was that one shining moment where we all got Sakurai'd and the world was turned upside-down and everyone shat collective bricks because it wasn't something expected.

Considering Monolith tweeting about the reveal I'd say Sakurai was going to reveal Shulk and then changed it to drum up doubt in the leak and therefore hype. He did the same thing with the All-star picture.
Or it could just be coincidence.

I'm not sure but I think they mentioned there's going to be a couple of bosses who are defeatable and you'll get something out of it if you're the last one to hit it at Smash Direct

That more than likely means the info was old, not neccessarily wrong, tho the the mistaking chrom one is most likely wrong but it wouldnt ridiculous that Sakurai was going to use chrom but couldnt properly use him in smash

I don't think so. Monolith employees tweet things a lot that mislead people.
And in any case, Chrom isn't playable. Nor did Sakurai make it seem like he ever was in any significant way during development.
That's kind of what I was saying, but as it turns out it was wrong because it was old.
Gematsu said nothing about DHD, Dark Pit, and Bowser Jr., and everyone at the time said Chrom, Shulk, and Chorus Kids were all we had left.
Gematsu has been sufficiently proven to be dated leak info at this point.

Honestly, even with the leak I was just as hyped for Shulk's trailer as the Robin/Lucina trailer, granted since Smash's announcement I wanted him in the game and me actually getting my "out-there" character was quite unexpected.

That wouldn't have been possible, though, would it? IIRC, the issue of Famitsu which came out shortly after the Robin/Lucina trailer had a feature on those characters. Sakurai may be able to swap trailers at a moment's notice, but a magazine has to have its material lined up well ahead of time.
