An SMB3 stage is long overdue. The airships are probably the most iconic candidate, but I would happily settle for quicksand and the angry sun.

I could see an airship stage now that we have Bowser Jr. There's no one in the NSMBU stage, right?
I can't tell either haha. I feel like Ash might have been messing with us, he changed from "100% more" in the last video to probably, and if he knew there weren't more he wouldn't have brought it up. Or he just wants to give is false hope/doesn't know anything haha.

The talk about maining characters is interesting to me because until recently I hadn't really thought about it before -- actually, until I started scanning the 'Net for info on Smash 4 I didn't have much exposure to tournament Smash Bros. play. Back in Melee and (especially) Brawl, I would have about 2/3 of the roster that I played more or less evenly whenever I did matches with friends. The other 1/3 were characters that didn't feel good to me or characters that I didn't really know how to use... to this day I have no idea how to play Olimar halfway reasonably.
I've been playing with the idea of maining a character this time around, but I'm going to be starting full-time work shortly after the game comes out so it might be unrealistic for me to expect to be able to pick up a character and get enough experience to play as him or her well. To those of you who have mained a character in past installments... what kind of "work" goes into becoming skilled with a character? I'm so used to switching to a new character after every match that I guess I'm just not familiar with the process of training for a particular character. Is it just about playing as them often?

Definitely the latter. Interpreting their words as "subtle hints" could spell trouble for them if Nintendo decides they're saying more than they should, and we don't want that, do we?
Nothing in that video sounds like subtly hinting at anything we don't know already, or blind speculation, IMO.

I usually pick my "main" just through use. I play all the characters through the single player game and in multiplayer I use the one or few that I liked using the best. Then moving forward you just get better with exposure.
