Has anyone here tried playing as Zelda? I've been hearing that she has some buffs to quite a bit of her moves, and the game not being Brawl or Melee also buffs some of her stuff like her side smash.

I played as her back at E3, but I never really used her much in Brawl so I can't really comment on any buffs.

It was pretty tough to get a handle on as how long you charge it also affects how far it goes, and it doesn't stop when it reaches an enemy. There were quite a few times I completely whiffed with it, but starting with my third match I was getting the hang of it.

It seems OK, but I'm not sure if there's any situation where it would be more useful than Din's Fire.

Supposedly, review copies are out in wild, and more people will get them on Monday. In about 23 minutes, the demo starts in Japan. Also, we know Ninty had a press event at PAX that's under NDA. So, combine all these three and we can say new info will come in really god damn soon.

I don't think there are review copies. I think there was a press event somewhere in france/europe similar to how people in NA played it at pax. Some guy managed to get a screenshot during the event, is all.

Japan demo is in 2 hours, 15 minutes, 11 AM Japan time.


Also, Ash, if you read this - Once this is all over, and the NDA is over, and smash is out, i'd REALLY like to hear what was under NDA and what killed you the most that you couldn't talk about.

They are getting demo stations at certain malls/stores in japan this weekend (and next, but who cares about next weekend )

The first ones open up at 11 AM Japan time, today (which is sept 6 for them).

No, it's similar to the best buy demos. Nintendo will have it playable at certain locations.

Be warned, nintendo has said 'no pictures or video', so we may not get much, if anything, as far as footage goes.

I absolutely SUCK at describing game music so I'll just reply to one post.

Really? It sounds purty dang fast to me.

The only song that's felt off to me so far is the Wrath of the Reset Bomb one and that's due to weak instrumentation, though I've gotten used to it in repeat listenings.

I think the problem is that the chord progression is really simple--it actually uses the same chord for a good portion of the piece. The arpeggios in the xylophone start getting repetitive after a while, and the instrument she assigned the main melody doesn't feel strong enough to carry the piece. It might have been better had she used something with a slightly stronger sound.
