I agree, awesome color

I remember one kirby game on the DS had a ton of spray paints for just about every shade of kirby

Sucks he can't be in, but meta knight kirby is awesome too

When we are done with unlocking so we would have 51 characters. Is it still too many? Just wondering.

I meant we have 39 characters in Brawl.

I think it just feels like too many because of how many newcomers are available from the start. I think only Villager, Pac-Man, and Mega Man should have been the only newcomers on the starting roster.

Alright, once the Wii U version is out and we know if Ridley is playable, either as a character or as a boss, or if we get confirmation of this before hand (i.e. he's playable in 3DS version, POTD/Direct updates, etc.) the winner of the bet gets to decide the avatar of the loser (must still follow GAF's rules on avatars. And we'll keep the avatar through let's say the start of 2015?

Deal! Haha you're on. :D
That sounds hilarious and fun.

You know that we've already seen ridley's shadow on Pyrosphere, right? He's in the game one way or another.

EDIT: Unless he means he's *playable as a boss*

The bet is whether or not he's playable as a character/boss specifically. We both know he's in the game already. :P

I really don't see how there would be much difference in terms of time and effort to port a moveset over from Brawl with some slight tweaks to make it work for 4's engine.

The assets. rigging and animation files are all being remade from scratch despite having previous design work done already. That still makes for a lot of time and effort to make the vets. This in combination with the team probably putting other characters on a higher level of priority leads to the situation where they find themselves with a choice between shipping with fewer characters and one or two more vets fleshed out or omitting that work and picking characters with animation/rigging/assets done and changing a bit of their values about and sticking them to characters who loosely fit their build, hence Dark Pit, Lucina and Dr. Mario.

I'm talking about the starting roster.
Smash 3DS/Wii U: 36 starting characters (12 unlockable characters) (15 counting all Miis)

Brawl: 21 starting characters (18 unlockable characters)

Yeah, Wolf needs to come back.

No kidding! I'm massively excited for these games and am still looking forward to them despite his cut, but I'd be lying if I said his cut isn't a really dark cloud on an otherwise sunny day.

Mewtwo's absence is still really weird to me, also

Ah, I didn't realize vets took more work. That being said, I'd prefer it if they had shipped without the clones instead of padding out the roster.

Usually "Have you ever made a game?" does not apply and is a cheap way to dismiss criticism, but when the criticism is specifically about how there's no effort in doing certain things, I certainly have to ask, have you ever made a game?

Eh, when looking at each of the dark kirby colors, I prefer both of the other ones, especially dark grey over carbon

The greys, white, pink, light blue, light purple are all the best

Eh, the more the merrier. With online play these days, I really don't want to spend days unlocking my favorites before I'm able to use them.

I think it's funny that people are lamenting wolf being cut and gaining new clones when around this same time before brawl came out people were saying "WHAT, ANOTHER STARFOX CLONE, WHY ARE THEY DOING THIS?"

i think it would really depend on how they actually made the characters/ported them over of course they could just make slight tweaks to the models but i think that could still take a lot of work depending on the number of animations and how much time (realistically they had for each character)

also while its a shame that ics and wolf might be getting cut i do think that new comers mechanics are just as unique and bring lots to the table as well.

I refuse to believe pressing the PORT CONTENT OVER BUTTON takes that much work.

*Sees everyone freaking out about purple Charizard on the previous page*

...Does no one remember that shiny Charizard used to be purple?

Or is everyone just joking around? Lmao.
