Probably Professor Layton. But that's only due to every other reasonable character I want having already gotten into the game in one way or another. Runner up would be Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee I guess.

Layton isn't explicitly owned by Nintendo(however they do publish all his games) but he's only ever shown up on Nintendo handheld platforms, and I believe he would be a very interesting fit for the series.
 
Okay guys, this has been fun so far. Gonna go to bed though. Real tired. Excited at the thought that I get to wake up to loads of new information. :D

After goodness knows how many days of calm, collected anticipation, these bits of demo information are making me go into hype overdrive.

Landing lag was never an issue with brawl. The whole landing lag thing was taken out of context when Ken claimed Marth recovered slowly on the ground, which was true, but everyone then thought it was a universal thing for all chararcters which was false. Captain Falcon seems to have the same recovery frames as brawl from his aerials.

My struggle begins next week as I try to avoid all gameplay vids up until the wii u's release. (Not picking up the 3ds version)

Edit: Shout Out to smashboards mods holding information back and killing the hype, time to go watch the Knick.

link has a costume with like red markings under his eyes. It looks nothing like link... But his eyes are whitened and has red markings and he's dark colored clothing. There's also a white and blue link.

Thing is we know glide tossing is out and iirc bananas only trip once (at least they did in the E3 build). Those are pretty big nerfs as is.

One banana is a bit too much. If the banana functions the same as Brawl then i guess i can't complain

In terms of my favorite they're pretty much in. I would say Impa. Skyward Sword was so good!

Ridley would probably be second. Dixie is pretty low on personal favorites but I still believe she is most deservesing of a roster spot after Ridley.

Ray Mark-II, Wonder Red, Chibi-Robo and Inklings are the newcomers I want for the next Smash. After that I have no characters I want.

I'm assuming you don't play Ganondorf (lol he's my argument for everything) but it's a main thing that makes him the absolute worst character in the game. You literally can't attack with him. His lag on his air attacks other than auto canceled Dair is too great, and his ground attacks are worse.

Landing Lag was a big issue with anyone large in Brawl.

Call me crazy, but I don't like the FD alt. It should have been his FS instead of that stupid Triforce thing that has nothing to do with the Zelda series.
 
correction: Falcon's side b is still it's strike. Zipzo is doing some crowd sourcing here while he waits in queues to play (is also with friends who are passing on information to him, sometimes some chinese whispers magic can happen I guess)

Shield while running

Shulks standing a is a 3 hit combo
Shulks up b is a TWO PART combo
You can choose to do the second part by inputting b again
Basically he swipes up like dolphin slash
If you hit b again
He will do a swipe in front of him and send the opponent flying
His up smash is sort of like palutena, except a much smaller pillar of light
Coming from his monado
I think his running dash attack is just a sword swipe
Don't quote me on that I didn't take it to memory (As I quote him anyway lol)
Shulk lunges forward and swipes down with his forward b
In to the ground
When you press neutral b it changes the insignia
Can't change while rolling, unsure attacking
His bair he shoves his sword behind him without even turning around
Like under his arm

He has 8 costumes for his fleshy self, and 8 costumes for his wireframe
 
16 costumes for Little Mac is crazy. I didn't like the wireframe because of how hard it was to see (even with the gloves), so I fear for millions of invisible wireframe players. :P

At the cost of less Pikmin to work with, worse normals and losing his greatest stage control attack (Pikmin Chain).

They better make Falcon's knee easier to hit to compensate for the landing lag.

Yes, I'm aware of how Ganondorfs plays. And no, the issue wasn't landing lag though. It was the lack of L-caneling.

Knee of Justice, that's good. I guess huge landing lag is there to avoid knee spams. I'm glad that Cap's Side B is Strikes.
 
knee is laggy, I'll deal. Hope the sweetspot is a bit easier.

Upairs on Falcon are looking fresh. I'm sure they'll lend themselves well to the floatier physics. I might have to play him a bit more like 64 Falcon then. Knee will likely be situational like Brawl anyway.

What does shield while running mean, does he mean stopping a run with shield or literally shielding while running?
