I don't remember anything about range, just that it completely missed a falling character when he tried to use it, sorry!
Also, I thought the bouncing thing was referring to them bouncing off the ground when I read it (as opposed to what they do in the Metroid games). I think Masked Man's post on it was only a few pages back if that helps!

I also think people play up the "Sakurai is a troll!!!" angle a bit too much, but he is pretty good at keeping secrets. Remember how an entire 2/3rds of Kid Icarus: Uprising wasn't even so much as teased until launch?

Wow, there's a lot of DK discussion here. I think, behind Olimar and Toon Link, he's my favorite playable Smash character - he's pretty funny. I love the scene in the Rosalina trailer where he shows up, and then just pokes Kirby. What a dope.
By the way, I just wanted to note: Diddy Kong is probably the only Western-made character to be playable in Smash.

They're only rated alongside the main game if they're on disc-DLC, since all the content on disc must be rated, even if not usually accessible to the players. For later DLC, they only need to be rated at all if they might add new content that impacts the classification.
Really, there's no reason they even needed to show the full character selection screen to them, since more boxes won't impact the classification - like how they apparently didn't show All Star mode to them at all aside from a locked icon.

Blue or Red 3DS Smash XL (assuming its real from that mag scan). I know it doesn't come with a game and I should wait for the n3DS but I don't think I am going to like Smash on 3DS. It looks like my hands will hurt when playing based on the control mapping. I already have a pre order for Smash 3DS anyways from Smash Fest, so its no big deal its not coming packaged with it.

It was the Brawl one, I believe. Like an actual clip from Brawl.
Oh Brawl had 7 characters that had a bit of data in brawl with mewtwo having the most left over.
Roy, Doctor Mario, Plusle/Minum, Toon zelda, Toon Shiek, dixie, Mewtwo.

I hate to be that guy, but did you realized that you can break out of Master Hand's grab moves by spamming buttons. I could imagine it would be same thing with Ridley

Haha this model. Looks like someone's first time using Zbrush.
I do think Alph could've been a nice full fledged clone. Replace Olimar's purple pikmin with rock pikmin and make him lighter with slightly different attack attributes. Olimar could've kept his old tether recovery while Alph got the flying pikmin as a recovery or something. But really I don't mind him being a palette swap.

I still would like to see Toon Shiek. Like, not put in the game as a character as I'm not a fan of clones (Lucas was different, he wasn't like other clones! You just don't understand!) but I still want to see a Toon Shiek design.

I've always been a huge fan of it, and the fact that it's in Smash in some capacity is really awesome.
He was shown in Greninja Reveal Trailer, but we just found out his role few weeks ago.
Wait. Who is Sheik. Isn't he some guy who helps Link a bit. He looks pretty hot for a dude I must say.
It isn't a real argument. He's not playable because the developers decided to add other characters and make him a stage boss. People need to stop trying to rationalize every character inclusion and exclusion when half the criteria for stuff in Smash is "Sakurai thought it would be cool."
