The security guard is like "Hold on, hold on, record me".

WTF!!!!

My guess is he's probably recording it for evidence because they're not supposed to intervene on shit but then he's like "oh fuck that guys gonna get killed I need to do SOMETHING" and passes off the phone and tries to get the mob away.

Okay, cool. Why are you reading them and why do you feel the need to tell everyone?

Just a pre-emptive 'no' to the predictable "-_- smh these youtube comments. don't read!!"

But I guess they are kind of 'cookie cutter racism' at this point and there's no point in reading them (._. ) Reading them does no good but I don't see what hiding them away and not acknowledging them does either.

We all agree this is wrong. Those are some mighty racist comments. You saying you agree with them?

Agree with the comments huh?

Yeah that's it.

lol wow

those are some of the worst I've seen in almost 9 years of reading youtube comments

They seem the same as every other video like this recently.

I'm really curious about what he did to get chased down by an angry mob.

He did nothing. I lived in the ghetto most my life. Me and my brother got jumped by a random group of black people. They didn't like us browns for some reason. It happens a lot.
Then I moved to a mostly hispanic neighborhood and one of my friends got jumped by a group of brown people. Fucked his head up, blood everywhere.
Now I've been in a white neighborhood for 3 years and so far so good. At work, had an old racist white lady not want me to install some wipers on her car cause I'm a "Mexican". Which is better then getting jumped.
In conclusion? Everyone is shit unless they're not.

indeed. always two sides. how does such a large group of people all go crazy simultaneously?

According to the article, they ran out of a Cici's pizza yelling "fam mob" and randomly attacked that guy when he was getting out of his car. Seems like there should be more to it than:

"I say, we tip something over!"
*tip over lifeguard tower*
"Now what?"
"GET THE LIFEGUARD!"

What a bunch of dicks!

According to police, three people were jumped by a large group of teenagers who were chanting "fam mob." The group, who came from CiCi's Pizza, reportedly attacked a 25-year-old customer as he left his car to enter Kroger.

Well that explains their anger. Still no excuse.

I don't believe they're that fucking mental. Seemed attackers were still being supported even when the kid was on the ground.

Yes, we should figure out what the victim did to provoke his mob beating.

If you ran over some members of this mob with your car (trying to escape), would you be legally liable?

The guy in New York did this with that motorcycle gang ride. He wasn't charged, but your milage may vary.

This disgusts me in every way, but knowing that my girlfriend was in that Kroger an hour or so before this happened absolutely terrifies me. And to think this is one of the nicer areas in Memphis, IMO.

I don't understand how his first instinct - as a fucking security guard - is to whip out his phone and record. Boggles my mind
His job is to deter theft. Not to stand up and defend random strangers against a mob dozens of people large. He probably gets paid slightly more than minimum wage, and for that you want him to risk taking a beating? Capturing the identities of the people responsible on film is really the most you can hope for.

Is this what teens do? Attack people in fucking mobs?

I really want to know the context behind this. It's not making sense to me.

If you've ever been a teen you must have encountered other teen groups that wanted to prove themselves but they were cowards so they picked the weakest targets.

It totally makes sense if you take into consideration that they are unstable.

Is this a trend or something in Memphis where large groups of teenagers attack people? Maybe you can tell us what a fam mob is.

I've been in a handful of fights in HS, sure, but it has NEVER gotten to that point.

Then again, I was also a nerd who hung out only with an insular group of people. I never involved myself in any drama that occurred in HS.

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, but either way it would be worth looking into. Mobs this large don't just come together for no reason (Occupy Wall Street aside). Maybe they were just a random mob of assholes, or maybe he did something prior to the start of the video. We don't know. That's the point of wanting to know more.

Seems like something that's been around for a little while,

http://www.wmcactionnews5.com/story/12173849/recent-crimes-linked-to-up-and-coming-fam-gang

Last week, two Craigmont High School students recounted a horrifying attack by a gang of 30 teens armed with bats and bricks who ran toward them yelling "Fam" repeatedly.

The Memphis Police Organized Crime Unit said the "Fam" gang is an emerging gang that started about five years ago in the area where Dixie Homes used to be. It has since migrated out of the Frayser area.

One gang expert, an undercover Organized Crime Unit officer, said the gang is made up of teens in part who are too young to get into other gangs like the Gangster Disciples.

aka posers who need a "mob" to feel legit

I think I'm going to start a collection of this stuff. It fascinates me as much as it disgusts me.

Well with Ferguson recently in the news we have to know whether these kids were instigated by cops, or even by this man who was attacked.

The yelled "fam mob", blaming the victims of a mob beating is ridiculous.

I always read the comments because it's a reminder of what I'm dealing with when I step into the real world. A peak behind the mask if you will.

Video is disgusting though.

Fam mob? pure idiocy from those people. Lock all of them up.

And no wonder these business warn, fine, fire employees for getting involved with incidents like this. Against instinct they'd rather the cops deal with it.

Why would you assume everyone know what the fuck that is?

Nobody is blaming anyone, they're asking for context the same way I am. It's not like you see a mob of 50 teens attacking people for no reason everyday.

I will always consider Microsoft the worst company ever for creating the Xbox. Imagine if Xbox never existed...we'd have great games like Banjo Threeie (imagine that right? Rare making games) Call of Duty and Halo clones would be at a minimum because they wouldn't be collecting those checks...videogame industry would be better. Games would be more imaginative...and we'd have almost no DLC (notice before the Xbox there was almost no DLC or definitive editions)... we need to get rid of the Xbox

I'm in the minority here, but I thought it was a great idea when Google made posters use there real names on youtube. There were still trolls then, but it never seemed as terrible as this.

I wonder if the people who comment understand that they can be traced back to their original location via IP. I'd love to have a job which consisted of taking peoples shitty comments, finding the people who said then under anonymity, them embarrass them in front of camera.
