Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

All these replies about Uprising cramps

Ah, I never knew that a lot of people had complaints about it :/ I just held the right side of the 3ds up with my pinky and went from there.

Also Link looks really lost.

Yup.

The first interesting tidbit he dropped during his talk was that the final character roster was essentially completed when the design document was finalized on July 7, 2005. That was, the character list was done 2½ years before the game was completed. Sakurai said the reasoning behind this was that he knew making additions later during development would be very difficult. [...] The only exception to this plan was the late addition of Sonic. He was not added into the game until some time last year, though Sakurai didn't elaborate on how they incorporated him into the game relatively quickly.

Oh hey, I see the toy has an exact replica of the smash 4 face :P

The ones we care about are girls at least.
Not much love for the males. If they're in smash it's going to be the female that's shown off with the male as the alt.
This is literally the first time I'm noticing the boy Inkling.
The ones with their tentacles tied up are boy-squids :3

I'd totally main an inkling if they got in as DLC or the like... but I guess my avatar made that kinda obvious :D
I can really see them in the next Smash game, and I think most people do!

Well, I think it'll depend on how well the game itself does when it finally comes out next year but I'm hoping the early flood of fan-art (we collated a lot in a seperate thread here: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=837761 ) is some kind of indication of people's interest :D

I'd honestly make the argument inklings could've been in smash 4 without DLC if it weren't an EAD game. I suspect they go through hundreds of prototypes that the public never get to see so even with Sakurai's inside knowledge he probably wouldn't have known if it'd end up as a final product, nevermind one that would turn up at E3 to a surprisingly positive reception :3

So is it confirmed if ESRB leak has 100% of all trophies? Because if so, then that means all characters were unlocked.

This was my thinking and I was literally typing a post to ask that (if ESRB leak is all trophies (due to needing to show the lewd ones) then it's a complete game save) but then I remembered the shot with the All Star mode screen with the lock icon which Sakurai confirmed means more characters exist to be unlocked which implies that if the ESRB videos are all from the same build and same file that there are more characters to unlock.

Please, BossDoggie. That thing that no one thought was going to happen was so obviously going to happen.

I, for one, had been predicting Wii Fit Trainer since before Brawl came out. It was only a matter of time before she made it in.

I hope not. We went from 290 in Melee to 544 in Brawl. 686 would be a disappointing number after the last huge jump.

A mere 142 trophies more than Brawl had.

Really, though, they can't keep doubling the number of trophies in every game. There isn't enough time for that.

RE: Gematsu Leaks

You people suffer an extreme case of hindsight bias
Is it that strange to entertain the possibility that in all of the tens of thousands of people (if not more) that are discussing Smash Bros. on the web, that one of them got lucky? Especially considering we've seen that people have had the same lines of thought before.

I do think Gematsu had info, I just don't think it's 'omg obviously the only explanation' like some people do.
