Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

Monado does not work on humans, at least at that point. You should have known that by now :p

remember the Monado bouncing off of Fiora when Reyn was "wielding" it back in the beginning of the game?
Oh, wow! Didn't even make that connection. :-O

So, uh, what would Shulk do in that situation? Just let his teammates handle the battle and play a support role with healing, etc?

In the end, the Smash Run theory is a perfectly valid argument. Wouldn't you think that they would record a set part of the game? Like, NoA gets a bunch of content and has to record that content?

Some of these arguments are getting creationist-level insane. Just agree to disagree, guys, for some discussions one side just won't be able to convince the other (usually the one with no grasp of logic, critical thinking and statistics/probability :P)

Let's just wait for the next PotD so we can call this Weekend SmashGAF session done.

Maybe the world was created one second ago, after all, and we were created along with our memories of it and experiences a second ago as well. You can't disprove it, so my point holds. Mind blown, right?

Nice

This is what I have besides Link.
jesus fuck what the hell is wrong with donkey kong's face

That Mega Man looks tits though.

Absolutely. Not discrediting the leak, or its believers, but just entertaining the "infinite monkeys" notion, however unlikely it may be.
Without speculation and toying around with ideas, what would be the point of this thread?
The infinite monkeys thing is an entirely useless hypothetical because it requires infinite time. It doesn't mean that if you had all the world's monkey's typing randomly on keyboards for 1000 years you'd get shakespeare, because most likely you wouldn't. That sort of thing only really applies on astronomical time scales (Think billions of year if not more)

We get it. You're making a point that is so nitpicky and vague that it can't be disproven or argued against. Many people have parodied your posts because as much "sense" as they make, they are equally ridiculous.

Anything is possible. I could say the Gematsu leaks roster was not actually insider info but instead the results of a fever dream a 13 year old had after tripping on bath salts. Sure it isnt likely or reasonable at all given the circumstances, but it's possible.

Now Ridley guys, there's no way he is just a stage boss, right?

It's not so much of a point as it is a hypothetical question. Just playing around with some ideas. Why bother with Ridley speculation? It's just for fun guys.
Personally, after today and seeing all the evidence you guys brought up that I never knew about (Mii Fighters name, for one), I'm totally willing to believe it. I'm just messing around with some ideas. I just really hate it when people are talking about literal impossibilities, because that's ridiculous to say, even if it isn't meant to be taken literally.

If we have infinite monkeys working on Smash would we finally get Ridley?

Who else made a set of figures for Smash?

edit: pic was gigantic, sorry

I intend to have a larger "Smash" related collection when I can. Figma Lucina and Samus I hope to get relatively soon (whenever Lucina goes up for preorder and probably not long after Samus's reprint in November). I wouldn't mind getting a D-Arts Megaman either, but it's hard to find 'em without getting overcharged. Might get Luigi figuart, since his lankiness looks like it fixes the problems that Mario had where he could barely be posed. Someone needs to make a friggin' Captain Falcon...

of course ill get some amiibos too. Primarily my mains and characters who may never get another figure again like Shulk.

Of course. It's just a hypothetical situation. Nobody is going to gather up every monkey and every typewriter to test this idea out.
I'm just messing around with ideas, I'm not actually using this as an argument.

It's mostly because the only pics with different trophy count. People thought it was trophy total when it isn't.

That looks more likely, though. That first screen I posted looks like the full trophy list for that save file, not a Smash Run rewards screen. I just don't buy that whole argument.

Are there people that still doubt the leak?

I mean, you can argue that there are still missing characters in the roster
I honestly doubt it
but it's pretty clear that everything shown in it is 100% real.

For that part, yes. Though the High Entia Tomb battle he can at least be more useful than that. To make things easier you can stick with any other other besides Shulk.

There are useful hypotheticals and there are ones that are so absurdly unlikely that they aren't worth talking about. If you want to argue that Duck Hunt Dog and Bowser Jr are fake, the only even slightly sensible way is to suggest that the person did in fact have insider info, which is how they got the Shulk stuff, and then mixed fake renders and characters in with the others. But given how much work that would take (especially for the bowser jr video), Occam's razor still rules it as absurdly illogical

I paid really cheap for Megaman, I mean, as cheap as you can get these days... Got Samus on january, last piece on a store in Santa Monica. Link was a no brainer in Gamestop.

I'm really looking forward that Lucina Figma, she'll be tits. The Mario/Luigi Figuarts are weird though, don't know if'll pick'em up, maybe if they are cheap when I'm in Japan... I'm really looking forward the Toon Link Nendo since he's my main... oh god it'll be my first Nendo but he's looking amazing!

Some really douchey attitudes in here today.
Yeah, I guess people are just antsy over the fact that all of our speculation might come to and end tomorrow if that GameFAQs guy is legit? It seems crazy to think that we're almost there! At least you're making constructive posts like this that move discussion in a positive direction :)

Guys, Xenoblade Chronicles is SO GOOD. I can't believe I'm only like 35-40% through by theprodigy's estimate (I'm at High Entia Tomb). Everything that's happened so far could've been like a full game unto itself. Currently at 30+ hours. Being thorough and exploring but the game never drags and it never feels like a burden. I keep waiting for it to slip up but so far the pacing has been solid as a rock.
