Ridley not getting playable in Smash is a constant among multiverses. Parallel world Metroid didn't sell big but has cult following, and Power Suit Ridley eventually becomes an Assist Trophy.

Which is far more likely since they cut out the bottom screen, and we've seen that screenshot in the PotD.
We got Robin and Lucina from Fire Emblem awakening even though Lucina is "clone".
You could be sure that if I got a copy of the game four days early and were just reasonably sure that I'm one of the only ones who would post pics on 4chan I'd tease the fuck out of everyone with menu pics first.

Fire Emblem has had several entries. There are fewer reps than games, so the rule still holds up.
Again, although they're both from one game, the series itself is more established. Xenoblade is still a little too new to have more than one unique character - though considering Xenoblade X and 3DS, the series will definitely be prominent enough for another newcomer in the next game.
I just mean entries in the franchise, not reps from a single game. Xenoblade is ONE game in its franchise, the 2nd one doesn't come out until after smash, and may not share any characters from xenoblade.
The fire emblem franchise has been around longer. Fire emblem has like 10+ games excluding remakes, so it's more than worthy of having 4 reps. Star fox has like 6 games.
If xenoblade were nintendo's final fantasy, and they had like 5-10 entries, it'd be more than worthy of having 2+ characters.

If I had the game early and wanted to troll, i'd replicate tons of pictures of the day and post them, so that people dismiss me, but one of them would have a subtle difference from a picture of the day. As soon as someone figured that out, i'd start posting more stuff.

But I'm not going to use that sort of logic to convince myself this is real. It's fake, this person is just using the photo mode with pictures already available.

So someone breaking the street date could happen anytime now?
It could, but somehow I feel like it's gonna be tough.
It'd be really satisfying to do that, but the official release is only a few days away. If someone actually had a copy, I think they'd attempt to show as much as possible, considering their time in the spotlight would have a fast-approaching expiry date.
5 days is a bit too soon for it. Typically, with Nintendo releases, it has been two days before, if it even happens.
If this were Germany and the game Mario Kart 8 the street date would have been broken by a ton of stores already. Dammit Japan, SOMEONE please break street date. It works so well for manga chapters, now do the same for Super. Smash Bros. !!!

Maybe it already happened, but as soon as you start up the game, there's a message - that there will be DLC unless someone spoils the game to US/EU people on the internet. Then it will be cancelled.

Yeah, I don't get why people take pictures of something that's easy to fake.
Step up, show us something believable.
The wait has been so long, the "leakers" are slacking.
Stickers were nice for the sole fact that they were pretty much collectable little pieces of game art.

A monkey could have printed that out, put it in a 3DS case and then covered them important bits with a piece of paper.
Anyone with an actual copy of the game would know that. First thing you do to prove its real is post a picture of something nobody has seen, a picture that doesn't exist out in the wild.
Pick 4 fighters, like shulk, alph, fierce deity link, viridi palutena, bunch them up in training mode, press start, take picture, with hand-written sign. Anything.

I was talking to a friend about it at one point, and mentioned that there was another party member. He asked me who, and I told him I couldn't say. Based on that he was able to guess immediately (though I tried to pretend he was wrong, lol). I've seen plenty of people guess correctly here as well.
With the part about discussion, I was thinking more about checking the Xenoblade OT and stuff like that when the game was new. It happens here too, but a lot of it probably doesn't mean much to people that haven't played the games.
But Smash kinda spoils some things anyway.
I'm pretty safe from spoilers so far... I just need to finish Earthbound is all. I'm like 2 hours into it or something. I've given up hope of ever playing Mother 3, so I don't even care about the spoilers there.

Not convinced by how the the paper folds around the spine. Hmm....does the front art extend to the back of the case for every japanese DS game? Because I don't see a white back with just the name of the game printed on it here, instead the red seems to stretch all the way to the other side....

To be fair, I had no idea it was coming. I just assumed it was alvis, or someone I hadn't met yet. I guess if someone told me they COULDN'T tell me, then I might have guessed, but all I knew was that there was a party member, and I thought his/her name was seven. I think just calling them 'seven' works fine, just don't say stuff like 'seventh character that i can't tell you who it is or it'll mega spoil the game'
