So how will these threads work that are coming up? I understand that there will be the OT (spoilerfull) and a continuing PotD thread (spoilerless). Is that right?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but:

POTD continuing until one of the releases (not sure of 3DS in NA/EU or Wii U) OR end of the PotD, whichever happens first.
Japan OT for 3DS
NA/EU OT for 3DS

The following may or may not be separate threads - it depends on release gaps
Japan OT for Wii U
NA OT for Wii U
EU OT for Wii U

The game being out in the wild would be big news, if it was legit. Getting a confirmation on stages/characters from ESRB leaks being final would also be appreciated.

It's not so much about leaking something new as it is finally clarifying everything.

Personally I don't really see anything wrong with having the intro be a "trailer compilation", except possibly for the fact that Palutena's and Little Mac's are wildly inconsistent, one being anime and the other being comic-style.

Also, since I've been on the side of skepticism for pretty much every rumor throughout this game's development, I think it's about time I throw caution to the wind and back something wild. I'm not particularly invested in Ridley being in (I would rather have Lucas back tbh), and it might also have something to do with that youtuber's crazy hair charms, but that analysis video posted during the weekend convinced me.

If Ridley were in I'd love Sakurai to go full troll and reveal the Ridley clone as a stage boss the first POTD after the 3ds release and then just put Meta-Ridley or some other iteration into the game just so I could see both the freakout from the Ridley deconfirmation and the freak out from the Ridley confirmation. It would be the best of both worlds.

I won't care as much, since i'll already have a playable smash game in my hands. Trying out and unlocking the characters is 90% of the game for me anyway. Wii U could be X-mas 2015 for all I care. I'm just going to view it as 'Ultra Smash bros 4' anyway. New stages and modes, same roster.
