Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread XV: Kübler-Ross Edition

AWWW YEAH TIME TO WONDER-EYES

Wonder Red? More like Blunder Red.

Eh he could kind of work I guess. But he would be similar to pikmin the way i'm thinking of some of those moves.

Ice Climbers went from being in the Melee intro (and revealed at E3 2001), to playing a small role in the Subspace Emissary, had a stage in each entry they were in, and now only have a Polar Bear enemy in Smash Run as their sole form of representation (assuming no more characters/no DLC).
Yeah, the Ice Climbers' exclusion is what hurts the most, but there is something similarly strange about completely ripping Mother 3 from Smash Bros.

Mario: Played all of them except cd-i
Zelda: All of them except Windwaker and cd-i
Metroid: Only the original and the Prime trilogy.
Donkey Kong: Only played the GB ver. and the arcade. ...oh yeah also DK Country GB
Yoshi: Played all of them, love the original Yoshi's Story the best.
Pokemon: Played all of them except gen 5 and the Wii games.
StarFox: Never
Kid Icarus: Only played the original
Kirby: Played all of them except Mass Attack, Canvas Curse, and Air Ride.
Fire Emblem: Played all of them and loved all of them save 2 or 3.
Punch Out: Love Punch Out, beat all of them except Arcade since I've never seen it.
Wario: I love Wario Lands...Smooth moves is the only Warioware I've played.
Earthbound: Never played
Gyromite (ROB): Never seen a ROB in real life.
Ice Climbers: Love it
Pikmin: None
Sonic: Only played the original, Generations, and '06. Only enjoyed original.
Metal Gear: Only played the original that wasn't "Solid"
Animal Crossing: Got everything in the 3DS ver. before finding out it wasn't for me
Wii Fit: I enjoyed the first one...yep feel free to judge
Xenoblade: I played it...I think I beat it, all I remember is Last Story and Pandora's Tower outshining it to me.
Megaman: Only enjoyed the classic series and beat all of those
Pac-Man: Beat all of them
Duck Hunt: Love that game.
F-Zero: Only the gba game.
Game&Watch: Played them all.

I think that's it

Don't overthink it: All you have to do is show him, and then all of his attacks have the big red hand (or other weapons) with just visual representation of the other W100 characters inside them.

contrary to popular belief, Lucas isn't all that liked in Japan, even in his own game.

Yeah, lots of people in Japan where majorly disappointed by Mother 3. Weird, that most people in the west who played the fan translation love it, including myself. I know it's linear, but that's not a huge deal, to me. I wonder what their big problem with it was?

What if we get Amiibos for smash only to find out that the NFC scanners in our gamepads have been broken this entire time due to a factory defect? I don't recall anything else using the NFC scanner up to this.
Lol, I imagine Nintendo has tested it across plenty of Wii U's, and initially. It'd be funny though, aside from probably costing Nintendo a bunch of money to fix and money lost from not selling Amiibos.
Though honestly, the NFC has little to do with me buying Amiibos. They're just cool, official figures.

Wonder Red / The Wonderful 100
4th Place (Victory Music!)
Hah! Top of page got sniped.
Wonder Red is a good choice. Would have been an amazing fit, and made a W101 sequel seem even remotely possible.

His final smash is clearly:

Final Ultimate Legendary Earth Power Super Max Justice Future Miracle Dream Beautiful Galaxy Big Bang Little Bang Sunrise Starlight Infinite Fabulous Totally Final Wonderful Arrow!

Mario: I have played a looooooot of Mario games.
Zelda: I have played Ocarina (though I didn't avance from the Kokiri Forest haha and then at a friend's house I saw the Ganondorf battle), played Wind Waker in a store, the DS Zelda games, the anniversary game, the Ambassador games, etc.
Metroid: I have only played the Metroid ambassador game (Fusion I think?) and the original Metroid from the VC discount in the Wii U.
Donkey Kong: I think I played one of the original DKC, and I also played Country Returns.
Yoshi: Yoshi's Story. Have played Yoshi's Story, World I think and Yoshi Island DS.
Pokemon: This one has a big story haha but I can say Pokémon is one of my favorite franchises.
StarFox: StarFox 64 and one StarFox DS game I don't remember the name right now.
Kid Icarus: Uprising of course!
Kirby: I have the Kirby anniversary collection, Epic Yarn, Return to Dreamland and the Ambassador game!
Fire Emblem: Awakening of course! Oh and the one from the Ambassador program too.
Punch Out: I have the VC one for Wii U.
Wario: WarioWare game from the Ambassador program, WarioWare Wii, Shake It! and the Land game from the Ambassador.
Earthbound: I've been a crazy Ness fan since the original so of course I bought Earthbound when it released in the Wii U! It's a great game so far (though I regret some of the names I have put in the characters) and I really need to continue playing it.
Gyromite (ROB): Nope.
Ice Climbers: Got the game from the Ambassador program.
Pikmin: I bought Pikmin 2 and it's sooooo good. Specially since it doesn't have the day limit. I need to continue playing it like Earthbound.
Sonic: I'm also a pretty huge Sonic fan. I have played the ones from Genesis (cept CD I think), Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, the Adventures games, Unleashed, Colors, Generations on PS3 and 3DS, etc.
Metal Gear: Well I played the demo of the 3DS game, I guess that counts?
Animal Crossing: I bought New Leaf after his Smash reveal and it was crazy fun!
Wii Fit: Nope.
Xenoblade: I NEED TO PLAY IT. :(
Megaman: Have seen the anime, and I have played some bits of the Zero games. I really need to play this series too.
Pac-Man: Obviously played the original and played two Land games I think,
Duck Hunt: One of my uncles made me play it with the Zapper and everything and it was really fun.
F-Zero: I played the one from the Ambassador program.
Game&Watch: Hmmm, I don't I have played one of those. I'm not sure though.

Don't overthink it: All you have to do is show him, and then all of his attacks have the big red hand (or other weapons) with just visual representation of the other W100 characters inside them.

That's a lot of character models to load, my poor 3ds cries thinking about it.

Wonder red too good for 3DS confirmed, next smash it is.

Haha, it's happened a few times before. As long as I get into first 3 posts, I'm happy. :D

no way dude, Splatoon isn't even close to coming out yet
Isn't it scheduled for first half of next year? Seems close to me.

Though obviously they're too late to make it into Smash 4. Did this poll specify that, or was it just for newcomers in general?

The lack of metal gear players on these lists is killing me.

I know :(

I'm actually amazed at how little some of these gaffers have played. A product of being younger, I guess. Some of the classics are a little hard to go back to, for sure, but they're really missing out. If only they'd give them a try! :)

Played:
Mario: Played them all except the Wii games. Not a fan of that controller or waggle to attack. 3D World was fun though.
Yoshi: Played them all except for the DS games. Classics.
Wario: Played most of the Wario Land games, but was never really into WarioWare. It wore out its welcome fast.
Donkey Kong: Haven't touched the Wii/U games. DKC2 is probably the only great one.
Zelda: Twilight Princess and beyond were either boring or bad. Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Awakening are my top 3. -EDIT- Forgot about the 3DS one. That's in my top 5.
Pokemon: Haven't played the spinoffs, but LOVED every mainline game. Also, the Mystery Dungeon games are the shit.
Mother: Played Earthbound and Mother 3. Once I finally got the King's Sword naturally, I stopped playing Earthbound. Didn't see how I could do anything else lol.
Metroid: Played Prime once, hated it (I don't care for FPS games). Super Metroid is the GOAT.
Kirby: All great, but each game always disappoints me in a way.
Star Fox: SF64 and Assault are the best games in a poor series, and it makes me sad. :(
F Zero: Never really touched the SNES one, but 64 and AX/GX are the best. I still have my AX License, too!
Ice Climbers: Played the NES gme once, sisn't like it.
Fire Emblem: I tried Awakening after being convinced it was fun. It was ok, nothing special. No replay value whatsoever, so I traded it in after I was done.
Game and Watch: I owned Game and Watch Gallery on GB when I was younger. I can see why the games never came back.
Kid Icarus: Played the NES game. That was enough for me. =|
Punch Out: Didn't play the Wii one (I never owned or wanted a Wii, there's your answer for the other games as well), but I played the NES and SNES versions to death.
Metal Gear: Played Solid 1, Twin Snakes (the best version), bits of 3, and all of 4. Twin Snakes is my favorite, followed by 4.
Sonic: As President of SonicGAF, I have played nearly every Sonic game released (aside from Sonic 06, because I'm not a glutton for punishment).
Animal Crossing: Played the GCube one, then stopped after about 3 months. Why play a game about doing chores when I can just do them IRL and actually accomplish something.
Pacman: Obviously I've played Pac-Man. Didn't get to play Championship DX until recently, and it's so good!
Duckhunt: Played a bunch when I was a kid and I was curious about "that other game" on my SMB NES cartridge. Not bad, but boring.

Haven't Played:
Wii Fit: lol fuck dat
Pikmin: Never seemed interesting
ROB: I wasn't a friendless nerd, so my parents saw no need to humiliate me
Miis: I've yet to see a good use for them outside of minigames...well I guess Mario Kart counts?
Xenoblade: Requires a Wii.

I'm close enough right? At least I got the original down ~

I know I'm missing out :'(

Pokemon Rumble U used it, and the feature works fine (for my Gamepad anyway).

Wonderful choice indeed! If my man Red and all of my other beloved Wonderful Ones don't make it as playable, at least I hope there's a stage based on the game in the Wii U version! With pandemonium and destruction taking place on the background of our Smashers' fight!
