Mario: I don't know what Mario game or spinoff I haven't played. I've owned everything from Super Mario Bros. to DDR: Mario Mix at one point. Super Mario World is one of my favorite platformers of all time.
Yoshi: Love the original Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Story. His more modern games haven't impressed me. Wanna try Woolly World though.
Wario: One of the reasons I own a Virtual Boy. VB Wario Land is amazing. WarioWare is one of my favorite game series ever. Mega Microgame$ is probably my favorite GBA game.
Mr Game & Watch: Fell in love with him through Melee, own a lot of Game and Watch Gallery titles. Also the Game and Watch Ball Club Nintendo repro.
Donkey Kong: DK Arcade is so timeless. Country series is amazing, Wii U owners buy Tropical Freeze ASAP.
Zelda: The series I neglect more than I should. I buy every Zelda and proceed to not finish them... except ALTTP and ALBW. I love top-down Zelda the most.
Metroid: Love the Prime games. I've never played through Super Metroid like everyone says I should. One day.
Kid Icarus: Love the original Kid Icarus, but Sakurai's work with Uprising earned it a place as one of my favorite 3DS titles. Phenomenal game.
Fire Emblem: Marth and Roy's appearance in Melee piqued my interest as a kid. I bought Fire Emblem upon it's release and poured hours into it. Favorites are Sacred Stones and Awakening.
Kirby: I love Kirby! Kirby 64 and Triple Deluxe are both awesome. I love the NES game as well.
Punch-Out: Quite possibly the most underrated series in Nintendo history and one of my favorite game series of all time. There is no bad Punch-Out game. I can sit down and play any of the three main Punch-Out games any time I feel like it and still have fun even though I've beaten them all many times in the past. Punch Out Wii was an absolutely phenomenal reboot and thanks to Next Level Games we have Little Mac in Smash, who will likely become my main.
Star Fox: Star Fox SNES and 64 rock. The others, I can give or take. Hope Wii U turns out great.
Pokemon: MY CHILDHOOD. I have trouble finishing the more recent entries, but all of the GB/GBA titles are the best. Gold/Silver are my favorites.
Duck Hunt: The GOAT light gun game. I am still fucking baffled we went the entire Wii generation without a reboot of Duck Hunt other than a Wii Play minigame. Such a missed opportunity. Excited for DHD's appearance in Smash.
ROB: I want to own a physical ROB so much. Never gets the respect he deserves. ROB helped save the industry once! My main in Mario Kart DS. I am glad he is present in Smash.
Mother: Never played Earthbound until it launched on Wii U, but when it did it quickly cemented itself as one of my favorite RPGs of all time. I need to finish Mother 3 someday.
F-Zero: Here we go. I fucking adore F-Zero. SNES and GBA F-Zeros are amazing, F-Zero X was the shit, and F-Zero GX is the best futuristic racer ever made. Captain Falcon is my favorite Nintendo character of all time and one of my mains across every game. Just an absolute blast to play. His combos feel so fucking satisfying. I have thousands of hours into playing Melee Falcon. I am so excited after hearing all the great news around him in Smash 4 and I plan to purchase every amiibo variant of Captain Falcon that ever gets produced. F-Zero UX when, Nintendo?
Animal Crossing: Such a charming series, I love Animal Crossing because it introduced me to a lot of NES games I had never played before as a child. The core gameplay itself is addicting, as simple of a game it is. I love all of the AC games.
Pikmin: Another very underrated Nintendo franchise. Pikmin 2 is my favorite because of all the easter eggs and real-world references in the objects you can find.
Wii Fit: Fun for what it is. WFT is a hilarious addition to Smash.
Dr Mario: Awesome puzzle series. Dr. Mario 64 is a super underrated game on the 64. Love the Doc in Melee, glad to see him reappear.
Xenoblade: Played for about 20 hours or so then interest kinda dropped off. I'll make the effort to replay it someday. Love Shulk though, so it's awesome he made his way into the roster. I'm really feeling it!
Pac-Man: One of the greatest arcade games ever made. I love Pac-Man Championship edition as well. Never really touched his 3D stuff though other than Pac-Man World 2 which I enjoyed. Screw the haters, he's a perfect addition to Smash.
Megaman: I haven't played a lot of the side series, but I love the NES titles and Mega Man X. Plus I just adore his classic character design. Gotta love the Blue Bomber. Another perfect addition to Smash.
Sonic: My favorite gaming mascot of all time. As a Sega Genesis fanboy I am obligated to list the first four Sonic games as the best platformers ever, with Sonic 3 and Knuckles being the greatest ever made. Sonic Adventure series is fun even though some people feel it hasn't aged well. The more modern games are hit or miss of course. Generations was great and I thought Lost World was better than everyone said it was. Was absolutely ecstatic way back when he was confirmed for Brawl.
