Link is only irredemably bad in Brawl. In Melee, you can definitely get good with Link. Link was my main for my entire casual life. When I started getting into competitive, I of course picked up Marth and for a while I only played Marth, but eventually I decided that I wanted to still train my Link on the side for fun. After playing a lot of Link on the side, though, I eventually got to a point where he was better than my Marth. Link is just so much more fun to me and better suits my playstyle that now, even though he's worse, I do better because I play smarter.
Just don't play him against Fox, Sheik or Falcon though. That's definitely not fun.
The wetas & sink babies are also gone, assuming they were in The Old Page 300+. But Robin remains.

Word, Link was one of my mains in Melee. I never really played competitively though.

How were you able to separate things like Mario and Dr. Mario, without looking at each Dr. entry and checking? Gaf's search probably has more options than I thought.
Any attempt to separate differing uses like 'link' as a URL, or "pit" as a bottomless pit, etc?

Mine too. They ruined Link in Brawl with the shitty snap ledge mechanics, that made his hookshot recovery SEVERELY gimped, the spin attack which had only a small fraction of it's knockback, and didn't have the sweetspot if you hit someone at the edge (it was perfect for preventing people from returning to the stage if they jumped up even a little above the ledge)
Hopefully with move customization they bring back the Melee spin attack, and speed up his boomerang to 64 levels. The boomerang spam was glorious. Best projectile in that game

Hungrybox is awesome. Comes across as a douche sometimes but he's forgiven for being the undisputed best Puff player. Love watching his matches. Except maybe the ones against Armada since they are campfests, but Evo was pretty awesome since HBox actually won twice despite Armada using a Puff-specific counter with Young Link.

Yup, HBox is a Puff main. Mango is also an ex-Puff main. The two of them together shot Jigglypuff way, way up the tier list.
