The whole "there are more deserving characters" arguments are so tired, relevancy is irrelevant when it comes to Smash, if it wasn't irrelevant we wouldn't see Wii Fit Trainer or ROB or Duck Hunt Dog in the game.

N64 and Melee intros were a peak for me, Shulk right now isn't optimal to burst my hype!

Still great job tho

Me! I'm excited!

Kinda

I really can't believe it's only 24 days. I've been trying not to even think about that number until the Japanese version is out, because I was worried about how big it would be. I really need to ask off work if I'm gonna. <.<

Already got my day planned. Two hours in college in the morning, straight home after, just catching the morning post, then kick u, and relax.

24 days is long though.

We have two months left for the definitive version, why would I be excited so early?

/s

Fair enough if you're more hyped for the Wii U version. :3

Pokemon the First Movie is terrible, but that didn't stop us dumb kids from enjoying it.
I loved it at the time, and with help from nostalgia can still enjoy it these days as well.

I was so upset when Ash was watching the originals fighting the clones while the 'Brother, My Brother' track was playing. I just wanted them all to be friends. ;-;

Lucario? I thought he only had one mega. Mewtwo has two.

He was talking about mewtwo, and I quoted to tell him about Mewtwo, not Lucario.

Well yes we would. ROB and Duck Hunt are important parts of the early years of Nes, pretty much everyone in that time played Duck Hunt, and Wii Fit Trainer boosted Wii sales like Zelda never could've.

You just need to know where to look

Great post. Mega Man is perfectly emotive in Smash 4, but a lot of people seem to miss that. (Though, to be fair, it seems like he became a lot more emotive over the course of his development; his initial reveal had him looking very blank-faced no matter what he was doing.)

Also, I don't think I've ever seen this screenshot before...? I love it.

I'm not shocked in the slightest that he didn't come back. What I am shocked about is that Sakurai apparently decided that, of all the cut Melee characters, Dr. Mario apparently was the one that needed to come back.

This. How in the world was it decided that, of all of Melee's cut characters, Dr. Mario -- literally Mario in different clothes -- was the best one to bring back? Over an original Pokémon, a clone swordsman who's an entirely different character from Marth, and a pre-evolution of Pikachu? Honestly, if the leaked roster is final, Dr. Mario is the only true blight on it IMO.

Well, Dr. Mario is grouped together with Lucina. We know Lucina essentially takes Marth (who was rebuilt from scratch like all vets) and modifies him slightly. So I guess Dr. Mario takes the rebuilt Mario and modifies him slightly, as well. In other words, it takes less effort to "bring back" Dr. Mario than it would, say, Mewtwo, since Mewtwo would be far more than a modification of anything already in Smash 4.

ROB is quite relevant in Nintendo History.

I am annoyed the game didn't leak overnight. What happened to Wonky Kong on GameFAQs who said he was getting the game yesterday? MotherFAQer.

How dare Nintendo take measures to protect their own projects leaking before street date. For shame!

:p

Megaman asks the hard questions.

If this is what the blue robot is thinking, then he must be pretty bitter at the guys who gave him a once-in-a lifetime chance...well, one more suited to gaming at least.

Still debating if I go media dark until the US release or just say F**k it and keep online...

Dr. Mario > Dark Pit + Lucina

Good character design, represents an unrepped puzzle franchise, melee nostalgia, general Smash nostalgia in the form of having the actual Smash Mario moveset instead of fludd bullshit.

Vs. a literal recolour and waifu pandering.

Dr. Mario is no way near the biggest blight on the roster if you ask me.

Lol

Have you played either of their 3ds games

I don't understand what you're trying to say. Only Duck Hunt dog isn't a major part of Nintendo history.

Is this anything more than a rumor at this point?

Dr mario not being an alt is the only issue I have with this roster.

But Lucina is the best newcomer.

This is hyperbole for hyperbole's sake.

All three of those characters are immensely important and memorable to Nintendo history. Wii fit for a long time was outselling the PS3 and people were even having charts that compared the two.

Dr. Mario makes sense but im still hoping for Mewtwo. I expected Dr. Mario to return but as an alternate costume. I hold onto a small sliver of hope Mewtwo may be there but im prepared for him not to be.

The chances of Dr. Mario being a straight clone of Mario, FLUDD and all, are at least 95%. There ain't a snowball's chance in hell you clowns are getting Melee Mario back. You're gonna get your Medicine Shooter, and you're gonna like it!
