Would be awful, because Ridley and Charizard have completely different body types and move/fight entirely differently.
Having wings and a long neck does not make a similar character.

You can argue that Wavedashing and Dash dancing were unintentional (wave dashing was discovered and left in but we don't know whether that was due to time constraints or just not understanding the applications)
But lag cancelling aerials was a feature (an officially documented feature, no less) in both 64 and Melee.
I do hate that they were removed instead of just being polished or explained though, I can take or leave wavedashing because I can't do it properly 100% of the time but I would be so much more hyped for Smash 4 if it had dash dancing, momentum conservation and half the landing lag that we have now on all aerials.

I can understand getting rid of wave dashing and l canceling, but I still can't think of any real reason to get rid of dash dancing.
Yeah, his side tilt looks a lot like the "big boot" he uses during the TP duel. He also sort of does his side special to one of the sages in a cutscene.
I like that Ganondorf is a big powerhouse brawler, but I just wish he had a few more unique attacks. The electric projectile alone would go a long way in making him feel more like the actual Ganondorf.

Every time this is brought up, I get more and more on board. I liked playing as Charizard with PTrainer, but a slightly modified, more badass version would be great!
I'm on the lookout for the full character and stage roster, all of the custom moves, and information about reassigning controls. It would also be nice to know what exactly is playable over the internet versus local.

To be fair if we are likely using Other M Ridley does it matter?
I know, now those techniques work and there backgrounds. Wave Dashing and L-cancelling are still kind of glitches, since there were not supposed to exist (L-Canceling being a why for the CPU to cheat) and were willfully left in the game. But the important part is still, that there look like glitches and i'm glad there not in SSB4.
Even so i will not spoil the fun of people, who like them. Project M is a fun mod and a good (not perfect) evolution of Melee's gameplay.

Melee had a Ridley trophy and Brawl had trophies for both Ridley and Meta Ridley.
Of course. He was already rendered for Melee's intro and Brawl's boss battle.
Btw Melee Ridley was really crappy looking. Brawl's version shrunk down would be perfect.

Meta-Ridley's trophy is somewhat infamous for being a pain in the ass to obtain.
I always thought pink and blue Mario (well it was Wario's in Brawl) was a reference to Mario Bros like "Green Mario", but depending on the image the light blue and pink can look like navy blue and red.

It's not happening, though.
Dash Dashing would need to look complete different, if you wanna make it something else as an glitch and if you have an artistic sensitivity. The whole usefulness of the technique is its confusing look, so it is hard to make it good looking.
There are many moves in SSB4, which can auto cancel and don't last any longer than L-Cancel's moves from Melee. There just build more balance and thinking aspect into the game. L-Canceling was just an horrible with no downsides.
