Okay so there are the numbers on paper, and there is real-world performance/use. If you want numbers, your chart is above.
If you want real-world:

iPhone 6:
- Not much to say since it's not out yet, but it looks like a 5S only bigger, rounder, and thinner.
- With iOS8 you can expect is better app interoperability, better keyboard, and some health features.
- Great integration with OSX Yosemite

Moto X:
- Nexus software with useful additions like Moto Voice and Moto Display.
- Talk to your device with custom phrases while the screen is off and view time/notifications without touching it.
- Many IR sensors to help with gestures, and a metal frame that acts as a super antenna.
- Almost great camera
- Front speaker
- Hardware customization. Pick from dozens of colors and materials.
- Lasts all day. Should last about 1.5 days once Android L is released.

Galaxy Note 4:
- Lots and lots of software features. Whether they're all useful or not is up to you.
- Arguably more bloated than other phones, and the performance difference is tangible in everyday use.
- Highlights: wonderful stylus software and multi-window multitasking
- Great camera
- Much improved build quality over previous generations with a metal frame
- Should last about 2 days

LG G3:
- Much more refined UI than the Galaxy line, not as refined as others though.
- 2K resolution is vivd, whether you'll actually notice the difference between 1080p though is unlikely.
- Great camera
- No metal construction, but still pretty solid feeling plastic.
- Should last almost 1.5 days

Galaxy S5:
- Like the Note 4, but less software features and no metal construction

One M8:
- UI isn't as intuitive as Nexus phones, but still has some welcome features
- Dual front speakers
- Average camera
- Great build quality with metal, but a little slippery and tall.
- Should last around 1.5 days

Nexus 5:
- Simplest and most intuitive UI. On par with iOS ease of use
- Nothing amazing about it, but nothing terrible either. All-around pleasant to use.
- Average camera
- Great build quality with just soft-touch plastic
- Should last all day and 1.5 days once L is released

How about people realize paying 200 and up for a flagship phone on contract is fucking highway robbery to your wallet.

I really wish the general public would recognize this.

That goes for all platforms.

Main thing these days for me is battery. My 5s battery went from 'great' to absolutely appalling, and I can't figure out why. Barely lasts me a day, and I don't think I've even had it a year. I've turned off background app refresh for all but the most crucial (Maps, etc) but it still drops like a rock. Hate to think what the new one will be like.

What if you want the best reception and Verizon provides the best?

Straight Talk, Verizon Pre-Paid, and various other services that use the same tech that Verizon does. Once you can get over the initial investment of buying a phone at full price, you're golden.

I'm most likely going with Z3 when my iPhone 4 contract expires. Now that I don't have a job and have to carry my phone everywhere (can't dock it to a computer), I realized how SHITTY the iPhone 4's battery life is. It barely last 5 hours if I use it intensively. That's not good for me since I really need my phone a lot.

I'm happy to wait two years if that means not having to deal with buggy Android and it's vastly inferior app selection.

Shit I didn't know we were in 2009.
Ok my turn:
Wow I wish the iPhone had video calling. No sale.

I didn't know Verizon had pre-paid, and StraightTalk uses Verizon's network?

Straight Talk uses various companies's networks, including Verizon. You just need to get a phone that uses Verizon specifically, since it's a different tech than other phones (CDMA vs GSM).

What Apple does do better is efficiency. It's the main positive of having a closed OS that you can design hardware around.

This. I'm ditching my S5 to go back to the iPhone because of bad OS and UI lag. You can have a quad core processor in a phone but that doesn't mean anything if there is still OS and UI lag consistently. Where apple really wins is in their optimized software.

That's Touchwiz. Not stock Android. Touchwiz is badly optimised. HTC/Motorola or Nexus devices don't suffer from that. The core OS doesn't lag it's Sammy's silly skin.

Root it and put CM11 or something else better onto it. Touchwiz is fucking awful and ruins Samsung Galaxy phones.

This too. They announce all these new features for devs like Metal and go ahead and leave the RAM at 1GB? It really limits what can be developed with these phones when you compare the specs to flagship Android phones.
Comparing android and apple "specs" is apples to oranges (pun intended). Simply put A7/A8->iOS integration is way different than Qualcomm->Mfg Android implementation integration. The argument that 1GB isn't enough in the face of Android phones is silly given that the memory footprint of IOS is smaller than Android.

The bottom line is specs are meaningless in the face of benchmarks, and apple has been near unbeatable in that area with the exception of the non-real world offscreen benchmarks where they just throw geometry at the GPU damn the filtrate and zbuffer, etc.

If the iPhone 6 doesn't win the benchmarks this fall (it will), it would be the first time ever after the release of an iPhone to do so (and yes, it will win them)

TouchWiz != Android

Android is fluid and amazing. TouchWiz isn't. Shouldn't have gotten a Samsung...

I mean optimization helps, but spec wise the 4.7 is in moto G territory.
IPS for Apple's CPUs are literally an entire class above Qualcomm. It's not optimization but like comparing Athlons to Pentium 4s. It's a completely different processing pipeline.

As for optimization surely you understand that one company controlling both the CPU architecture AND OS engineering is nowhere near trivial compared to manufacturers who control neither.
