Yep. If it was questionable in any way it would have had to have been in the ESRB video.



They clearly haven't played it. Anyone who has spent time with any of the builds made available to the public would know that it isn't.

We really have no clue what all was in the ESRB video. We got leaked a small section of a much larger video.

That was how it was in Melee, though with wavedashing and L-cancelling the speed difference had almost no impact, which is why Dr. Mario ended up being better than regular Mario, iirc. Plus his cape was longer.
