The guy on this forum who has provided more than enough evidence that he played the demo and was at it. Some other dude said this on another forum, people didn't believe him, then Masked Man who was at the event confirmed it. He also would translate the Famitsu articles on Smash for us. Which often times got stolen and printed out on other gaming websites.

That's how it was. I can see Dr. Mario being down right amazing if he can combo as well as Smash 4 Mario.



I'm waiting to actually see the taunt before passing judgement, but yeah, Smash Palutena is kinda horrible so far.

Yeah that's what I figure.

That was how it was in Melee, though with wavedashing and L-cancelling the speed difference had almost no impact, which is why Dr. Mario ended up being better than regular Mario, iirc. Plus his cape was longer.

I never learned how to wavedash consistently, but I never really noticed how bad the speed difference was. I tried using Dr. Mario today though and his lack of attack range really hit me badly haha

I agree with what they said on the stream for X2. If Mario is this fast, I cannot imagine Fox, Falco, and C. Falcon. Holy moly.

Edit: Now that I'm thinking about it actually, those three might not change much. Mario being faster may just be a balancing thing.

Demo doesn't even have the more potent characters like Palutena , Shulk , Robin , Rosalina and a few others.

Showing the weaker and more balanced characters doesn't really show where they stand among more of the roster but against each other.
