So far I'm really diggin it. Not much to the demo, but it's smash bros to its core. I love how link has his signature lunging slash as his forward A now, and pikachu just animates so much better than before.

One thing I'm not crazy about on the 3ds version is that the z-button is mapped to the L-trigger. Threw me off guard a bit when I'd try to roll but I'd throw an item instead.

Looks great on the 3ds too!

Well there's something to be a said for a playful "confident" taunt, and an over-the-top "stripper" taunt.

I'm just saying I hope that Smash stays fairly E rated rather than pandering to the whole "I'll main whatever character shows the most skin and makes me feel least repulsive as a desperate, clingy man" audience.

I don't need Smash to be sexy. It just needs to be as much fun as possible.

Palutena being oblivious and objective oriented as she was in Uprising is good fanservice. Palutent being a cheap mastubaroty stripper angel liek what I seem to be hearing is just pandering to the lowest common denominator and ruining the goodwill she earned through Uprising.

I'm one of those people who'd love to see Bayonetta in Smash but am aware of the incredibly dissonant tone she'd bring to the games. You just can't fit Bayonetta into a family-party style game. Likewise, I'd rather see "competent, Goddess Palutena" over "sexy, fanservicy 'slut angel'."

Anyway, Smash characters don't always match their series characterization. Captain Falcon is wild and boisterous. Marth is a vain dick. Samus is a whip-cracking dominatrix. These persona don't actually resemble the original series, but they're here to stay.

When I said exotic dancing I meant more in line with burlesque dancing than being a full on stripper. Just saying with that information, a little nod to that forgotten piece of story isn't that surprising.

Before anyone questions the pose, that's what one of the JoJo's does, like, 80% of the time in promo art.

I sadly can't find the old photoshop where Zelda's posing and made to look like Jotaro, but here's the original picture with Santana making a similar pose for comparison.

I'm just saying, even if he's still crap, I'm just impressive with the amount of freedom he has compared to his brawl counterpart. Link and pikachu still look relatively the same to me beside the speed change.

Well yeah, I completely understand that, I have watched all the shorts of Uprising (lol Palutena bathing) but people are only gonna get their idea of her based on that scene (and maybe some "oh she has those cool powers").
And you're kinda reaching there, this is a Smash, a fighting game, so of course during battles you can expect people losing or struggling to fight, specially to a character like Captain Falcon who people would go "DESTROY THEM FALCON!", plus Robin was the main focus of the trailer.

After a large amount of troubles, my Japanese 3DS has shipped. My hype just skyrocketed, it's finally happening and I'm gonna be
unlocking Ridley
playing the next Smash Bros within a small amount of days.

Where from? I don't want to dampen your excitement, but the last time I ordered a console from Play-Asia it took over 2 months to arrive.

I hope competitive players like this game
because otherwise they'll whine eternally

nin-nin-gaming. They've been a bit of a hassle, but the Fedex estimate for arrival is 2-3 days from when its been shipped, which makes sense, seeing as shipping was about $33.

I ordered mine from Nin-Nin-Game, I hope they're better than Play-Asia (their prices certainly are anyways). I miss Lik Sang, though, it was the best of the best. : (

Conclusion: no one is going to play as Lucina because she sucks and clearly lost the fight to Falcon. Gotcha.

But no, it's because of the first few seconds of the trailer that everyone dislikes a character immediately without watching the whole thing.
I feel bad for those people.
