Wolf at least had unique normals. The only thing differentiating Dark Pit from Pit seems to be his Final Smash and slightly altered special moves. I'd say he's a good bit worse than Wolf.
It could have been funky if everyone sported one come release day in the West.

It's a bit of a stretch to not consider Lucas or Wolf as clones, wouldn't you say? I love Lucas but his moveset is culled from somewhere. Or maybe I'm losing your meaning.

Wolf had completely different normals and much more different specials.
Wolf and Lucas are semi clones, and even then it's only specials that they share (and maybe one or two normals).
Oh if you don't like him you would been pissed at the first streamer to show up last night.

Wolf and Lucas were quite clearly built on the starfox/ness base, but that you didn't think of them just proves the point that brawl did a good job of altering the "clones" to be different.

All the complaining about dark pit feels pretty entitled considering the amount of content and fan service in the game already. The claim that no clones = more newcomers is a pretty big false equivalency. I'm fairly certain people would have been less disappointed had here been no dark pit and no additional content to make up for the absence.
