Nope... I won't do that... knowing the game is already in it's final state on my hard drive but I can't play it for some artificial reason called release date.

LOL, that thing is all over the place.

Special P3tran gif.

hehe, still goes fast though. plus it can go up and down and over those huge curbs like it was a sheet of paper ;D

very interested to see how much physics there are in horizon, and if/how much tuning will affect the ability of a car to go off road easier when physical/mechanical damage is on.
demo is in 4 days but it wont show me that. I need the full game.

Yeah, release dates suck...lol.

If it's ready, in the case of digital, just let us have it already. I get release dates when it comes to physical release.

Retailers wouldn't be too happy about that lol. Remember that retailers are relied on to push consoles and games for the manufacturers, so it is important to keep them happy.

Kind of concurring people who are going to buy it digitally are not going to buy it from the stores either way.

But I guess it would push more gamers to digital.

I played the game a couple times already at events, but there is nothing like playing racing games in the comfort of your own home with the sound blasting. The wait for the demo alone is killing me.

Hell yeah! I really hope for custom point to point races so that we can recreate some Raiders of the Lost Ark truck chase-like ooops! moments. I know I'd purposely set the points on some scary-ass high places that basically encourage racers to race the ridge.
For all the talk about sense of speed coming from videos and gifs of another upcoming game, I find the risk that comes from knowing you could actually clip if not dead-end on the stuff in the environment around you a lot more thrilling and, with that greater sense of vulnerability, you appreciate a more real sense of speed as you're barely scraping past trees at night.

Helois, can we land this jump? Or do we just crash and reset? :) I must know.

Not sure if that's from a race or freeroam? You defo can in freeroam though, and if it's part of a race course then sure.

I've seen a few jumps of that ilk landed today during our event here at Playground :)

It's certainly a million times scarier than knowing you'll probably just bounce off a barrier and keep going.

This trailer just sold me on the game. I never played the first one. I am a somewhat newer fan of mainline Forza. I keep hearing comparisons to Beetle Adventure Racing - which I loved. I like that shot of racing next to the train. Looks amazing.

There's a lot of bollocks surrounding Driveclub here, it can't just be good, it has to be the best.

At everything.

And be PGR for some reason too.

Well, it's part of the hype machine that starts with the people behind it and the fans who stoke it. PGR is well-loved by console racing fans for good reason and, since Bizarre's departure, people have been looking for any newer console racing games to take up the mantle of being the next PGR especially when you learn that, at least, some of the people behind them had something to do with that series. It's not unreasonable to feel this desire even if it is a bit unfair to the developers of the new games who want to create something that is more theirs than a refresh of something that isn't. PGR is and will for the foreseeable always be a high water mark for console racers, not just for its achievements, but also that there hasn't been another game released since that could satisfy those who long for more of what it offered.

Terribly overrated in what way?

Handling was perfect, tracks were fantastically crafted, vehicles were fantastically modelled, weather system was off the charts, the kudos system was simply incredible.

If there's one thing I'd fault PGR for, it's the lack of DLC support.

I thought it was the same shit as MSR with faster and faster cars, some cool stuff like the snow at the Nurburgring but never cared for the city track layouts at all.

Without some interesting driving mechanics like Forza/GT I got bored quickly.

Didn't know that, thanks for clarifying. I'm personally OK with microtransactions being added further down the line (if done right). The whole economy of Forza 5 just felt like freemium game that cost $60.
Yeah you hope and think they learned from that backlash. Either way, this game is why I ordered an Xbox One this year, so I guess I'm willing to overlook that potential issue in this case.

Giving me PGR/Midtown Madness/RSC2 vibes and I love it!

Phil, PHIL, PHIL!!!!!!!! Midtown Madness 4 please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Aw man, the only thing missing is some Next Car Game crashes. And maybe the ability to draw and race your own routes. You wouldn't need any other racing game.

That's what made that one track in Dirt 2 so awesome. You could go faster if you wanted to, but you kind of didn't. Because this.
