Forza Horizon 2 Launch Trailer

Will I be able to settle for the 360 version? I really don't know about that.

From what I understand, the 360 version is like what Call of Duty 2: Big Red One was to Call of Duty 2.
It's within the same "title group" or whatever but the game is different in the sense that the cars, tracks, music, gameplay tweaks, etc. is all different. IIRC, there isn't even Dynamic Weather events in the 360 version.

So what's the teaming up aspect of this game. If any at all. Is there a way to race as a club against other clubs in this?

I also wish we could get some more infos on how exactly the Club system will work. What we know so far:

  • there definitely are team races, but not much info given about how this will work with the clubs
  • clubs can have up to 1.000 members
  • there will be leaderboards within a club
  • a club can somehow unlck Credits/cars/whatever faster, also no concrete info on this

Addictive, not addicting. What is it with people using that word? it mostly comes from americans. i dont get it.

Such an amazing first post

Gameplay videos have been released all week and it still looks quite good (and most people are getting this game because of the driving mechanics anyways, so....)

Majority of the posts are in awe of the graphics which clearly aren't showing in-game gameplay.

Selling my XBONE.

What's wrong? You have no problem going into other threads and stating things from low quality youtube footage but are over sensitive to the fact that I'm stating something which I believe that in-game FH2 gameplay won't be as good as that trailer? Game looks great overall and I've got it pre-ordered but keep expectations for the graphics in check!

I didn't mention anything about gameplay or content.
You did mention disappointment, the point I was making is that most people aren't buying this game for graphics (which look awesome to me) rather gameplay. So if this game plays like the first, I can't see many people regretting their purchase. Playground seems to be representing this game accurately through the media/gameplay footage.

That trailer is all replays and photo mode. If you actually think the game looks like that in actual gameplay then I can't help you. I've seen plenty of the game to know that! Didn't mention gameplay or content!

Why? Because the trailer is obviously showing replay and photo mode graphics. Why do you actually believe the game looks that good in gameplay?
Even the PS4 couldn't do those in gameplay!

Everything shown in seems doable by current-gen consoles standards. The camera angles and the slow-motion makes it more impressive than it is, imo, but the same could be said of most, if not all games trailers...
Forza is coming out in a matter of weeks, so it is a bit late to start speculating!

My impression of the graphics are from gameplay footage posted by various sites, not the trailer.

I'm going to post all of the gameplay videos that I can get together, because this is such a dumb discussion about a trailer that we know uses cinematic shots to try and sell the game (also known as the goal of a trailer)

While the actual game does not look like the trailer (with the camera angles and what not), the trailer does promote what you can do in the actual game, therefore it makes it a good trailer and I think almost everyone in this thread thinks the game looks amazing (both visually and gameplay wise)

Here's an old post I made that might shed some light on your first point.

Teams are assigned by the game in order to keep the pace of the game-flow up. The game will try to keep Club members in the same team, so if you have a session comprised of two Clubs the teams will be split along Club lines. Scoring for team races is actually designed to allow uneven teams to battle fairly (e.g. a 3 man team can beat a 6 man team if they are better drivers) so even if you don’t have even numbers your Club may still be kept together in one team. However, we don’t allow (say) 11 Club members to go in one team against a lone player in the other – in instances like that, the Club will end up split between the two teams. However, you are still earning Club XP bonuses regardless, which benefits you and your Club.

Hope that helps? :)

Can't wait for the demo to come out, hopefully you'll all enjoy it!

P.S Ashad - Our media team apologises for making such a kiss ass trailer ;P (hehe, just messing with you!)

any idea on when the demo launches on Tuesday, sometimes Tuesday games/discounts shows up Monday @ 8:pm EST.

For those who are sceptic, I put my hands on fire saying that everything is either in-game and/or replay. Like real replay footage.

There are bits were you can see tire marks and smoke before they could be there. Like if the editors were trying to get the right angle of the panning shot, rewinding and stuff.

I'm saying this because thats how I use to do my videos and lost a lot of time doing that.

Moments like this:

This trailer was kick ass in all levels. Music, editing, technicaly... Too damn perfect.

What exactly do you mean? The graphics? The gameplay?

He was obviously impressed, so the sense of urgency was greatly heightened.

Why keep expectations for the graphics in check when gameplay footage already showcases it looks amazing? I didn't need this trailer to know Forza Horizon 2 looked stunning. Been saying it since they first showed it.

I brought this up earlier and yes the trailer is comprised of replay mode with what appears to be free camera and other things to make it pop. It also seems indicative of the actual graphics in the game when they show the cockpit and behind the car views. The game looks amazing as I have already said and I have this paid off and cannot wait to play something besides KI on my XB1.

Idk, by what I have seen of actual gameplay, visually it looks pretty much like this! Except maybe for some minor image treatments that may be on the replay mode... But I would say that it looks the same.

Because the first Horizon had a huge discrepancy between gameplay and photo mode, right?

Of course there is nice DOF effects and stuff for the trailer, but the game looks damn close to that. You act as if we're not getting a demo of this on Tuesday.

lol at those trying to downplay this game. The FH fans already have a rough expectation of what the game looks and how it plays but hey, keep fighting the good fight!

So demo Tuesday, right? Do we know what will be in it? FH demo was really generous, if I'm remembering correctly.

I wish the OS had screenshot functionality we we'd be able to take shots of the game.

You're not wrong. The only bits that seem like gameplay are when the camera pans out
to the bird-eye view of the car(s). The rest of the trailer is obviously not indicative
of actual gameplay, especially when compared to the vast amounts of in-game footage
already available before this trailer released. Not sure how anyone can argue otherwise.

Regardless, the game is a huge step-up from FH1.

Who knows, maybe photo mode will make the cut for the demo.
