MGR just helps his claim out more. It's part of a franchise that hasn't really been on PC, I think people would associate MGS more with Xbox than PC.

It came last year. KOF XIII came last year. FF is an MMO, it would be suicide to not release on PC.

When people complain about Vanille, is it about her voice?

I ask this because I played the asian version with japanese voice, so I don't understand where the hate comes from.
To be honest, it wasn't even the voice that made me dislike her. It was her personality. I also hate Eiko, Selphie and Yuffie though too. Can't tolerate the archetype I guess.

"Within 5 years, every Final Fantasy main game will be on Steam"

That sound like a reasonable prediction?

Unless they straight-up emulate, 9 is a bit of a problem for them, as it'd be an expensive port to do. All the others, though, yeah - 1/2 they can do the iOS versions with the bastardized 2D sprites. 5/6 they could also do that, or maybe they'll choose to do the 3D remakes ala 3/4.

The North American site has a weird PC note on FF13, too: http://na.square-enix.com/us/games/final-fantasy-xiii
Not sure when that page was last edited, mind.

Her mannerisms were totally out of place for a localized game.

I bought 2 versions of both FF13 and FF13-2.

The english releases which I soon discarded for the Asian releases cuz I couldn't take the
shitty voice acting + childish script.

To imagine I'd be buying the games for THIRD time is amazing haha.

Mainly the voice - I swear she sounds like she's giving birth in the NA version when casting magic and attacking.

Anyways, other than that, she's actually my most fav female character in XIII lol.

As I mentioned earlier, I'm willing to double dip on this even though I have XIII and XIII-2 on PS3 and I enjoyed them both :).

I ended up actually loving the XIII games as a whole. The first one was a disappointment in a lot of ways, but I still enjoyed it-- the ending however was a total bust. However, I thought XIII-2 came along, had better gameplay and structure, and made the story far more interesting. Lightning Returns was the best of the lot for me as it was a really atmospheric and different kind of game, but the way it resolved the overall story and characters was alright to me, so in many ways I thought it rectified the ending of the first game.

I personally look at the trilogy as one huge Final Fantasy game, and quite honestly one that I don't find to be bad at all.

FF13 has the bioshock infinite effect, where anticipation is building for so long, nobody wants to be the one to say its crap until after the hype dies down. This was just after the golden years of PS2, so nobody is gonna say anything...we were not used to SE being crap just yet..

Pretty sure the golden years were in the Super Nintendo and PlayStation days.

Who knows. But the inflection the character gave was really cringeworthy. Maybe it did have something to do with the australian voice actress, so high pitched and cheesy. But that wasn't all there was to do with it. Her mannerisms were just unnatural.

English on top, Japanese on bottom. English version is magnified because of the voice, but they both have that unnatural 'idol' esque annoying personality to them.

So its happening?
Oh well, i'll give it another try.

I had FFXIII on PS3 and i could not bring myself to beat it so i sold it. It was terribly boring.
Its one of the worst FF i've played, however i will consider giving it another chance on PC, only if i play it with trainers.

I hated this game because the combat system was so fucked up and complicated that it was quite hard to win most boss fights.
Just give me FFXIII trilogy and a God mode trainer and i'll insta buy. I just want to play these games for the story.

Anyway, FFX>Everything else.

If I could get a big pack of all 3 on a Steam sale for a decent price (~$15-20 would be good), I'd bite. As flawed as it was, I enjoyed XIII and loved what I played of XIII-2, so that'd be a good reason to wrap that up. Lightning Returns looked like hot garbage, but I'd still probably give it a shot.

Hmm Interesting. I haven't played the second or third game, but the game is pretty nice looking already on PS3. I think it might be interesting to see gameplay at 1080 / 60.

I was waiting for Lightning Returns to hit sub £15 on PS3 but I might just wait for this instead, that is if it's really a thing that is happening.

All I want is FF15 on PC so I'm happy as long as these ports somehow lead into that future.

I doubt I'd buy these (I'd be FAR more interested in a PC version of a remastered FF12 Int'l Zodiac edition), but if true I'm glad Square is willing to support the PC more.

FF XIII and FF XIII-2 are among the weaker mainline entries in the series, but they aren't bad games. I have LR in my backlog.

I've long suspected that Square is planning to bring FF XV to the PC. This adds more fuel to that fire.

When and where was this taken?

It's nice to see my favorite Final Fantasy game on there, IX, but meh.. XII was flat out boring with unlikable characters.

Edit: Plus this says "generation two".

PAX 2012 I think.

Generation One was FF1-FF6

Generation Two was FF7-FF12

Generation Three is FF13-the rest

Well, everyone likes different Final Fantasy games. Final Fantasy XIII has fans, too.

My favourite Final Fantasy games were the 16-Bit ones.
