Final Fantasy Type-0 HD coming on March 17 2015. Download code for FFXV demo included

Proof is in the pudding but if SE will do these things in a timely manner then there could be some positivity starting. Release a demo alongside FFT0, then start to so more media on the game for a hopeful late 2015/early 2016 release.

Aah, following the pattern of the FFXII and XIII demos. For the first, for the $60 demo we got a free copy of Dragon Quest VIII which ended up being freaking awesome. For the second, um, let's just not talk about that. That included a sample video sequence for what was XIII Versus at the time.

Whatever. Take my money. Sigh. At least we won't be able to say we weren't warned that 90% of the game is a straight line like we were in the XIII demo.

I... don't see the difference between this? So SE is at fault for giving people who don't want to buy Type-0 an alternative means of getting the demo?

I think it's weird that people would feel better about this being exclusively with Type-0. Some gaffers have already played Type-0, didn't like it, and would like to play the FFXV demo, without having to pay as much.
Fair enough, but the fact that the conversation now turns to "Would you rather pay $x or $y for a demo?", with neither option being $0, is really what people are unhappy about.

Demos coming exclusive with games has been around forever so it's palatable, but the idea of paid demos is about as gross as horse armor, on-disc DLC, console- and retailer-exclusive content, day-one DLC/patches, etc., fill in all other consumer-hostile practices that the industry has developed that people could have prevented.

Late to this but

Can't wait. Might have to import. My first Pas3 was the Cloud Black Edition that came with the XIII demo. Hype hype hype!

The time has come. I remember being a sophomore in high school when it was first announced. It's time to reap the rewards. This + KH3 = my childhood being completed.

It isn't an important distinction really. Ultimately it is a paid demo either way, but people seem to find a bundled demo much more palatable. Honestly, as long as the Type-0 demo has all the content of a hypothetical paid demo, then I don't care and it seems unlikely that they would offer different content.

Well, here's hoping the FFXV demo isn't all they have of the game the way the FFXIII demo was. Still, its a no-brainer that the FFXV demo should be included with Type-0 HD, so I'm glad Square at least got that right.

Sweet music to my ears. Now we just need a new trailer for XV and some Kingdom Hearts 3 info and I'll be set! SIMPLE AND CLEAN IS THE WAY THAT YOU'RE MAKING ME FEEEEL TONIGHT!

Speculation here but, I wonder if SE is going to use this as an excuse to charge $60 for Type-0.

I would've expected them to charge $60 even without the demo. It's never been released outside of Japan and they're actually rebuilding it to some extent for current gen platforms. It seems justifiable for them to charge full price for it.

It was a leak. This is what Square posted on the official FF twitter account after the leak happened

Hahahaha. In all honesty, Square deserves it. Yeah, it would be a big woo for them to announce it at TGS, but after years of silence, this little nugget was enough to throw some people into a frenzy.

I'm more excited for the Type-0 date as now I have a clear goal of when I need to have my money saved for a PS4.

I already assumed they were going to.

As did I. While they do knock a couple of bucks form the PS3 remasters, I always thought that since it was an unreleased FF game in NA, plus a remaster on current gen consoles, that it met the prerequisites for the full asking price of new console games.

EDIT: Solid Snakex beat me and I just rephrased what was said earlier.

It's going to be 60$

They have Final Fantasy fans by the balls here, myself included, and as mentioned previously by SE, this is considered as an entry way for Final Fantasy XV; hence, the 60$ price tag.

No worries though, it will be available for 39.99$ in a month as per all of SE's releases

They aren't rebuilding it much more than their other HD remasters. $60 is kind of steep for what is still, at its core, a 2011 PSP game.
