Nvidia Game 24 Stream All Night Live Another Day

Dynamic Super Resolution? It's basically downsampling, right? But only easier to enable through GeForce Experience instead of fiddling around?

Yeah it is downsampling.

How long is the event? Can I go to sleep now and watch everything in the morning?

If you don't care for Dota you could skip watching the event after the first hour because the first invitational match (which can take 2-3 hours [games vary a lot]) will take place at that point.

Google's webpage translation is not working for me. Damn.

EDIT NVM IT IS WORKING:
igh-performance anti-aliasing technology --MFAA NVIDIA newly developed, which is capable of performance 2xMSAA provide 4xMSAA quality, so a smaller loss of performance provide a more perfect game quality. So that when players play like "Crysis 3", "boyfriend 4" such top masterpiece, due to the lower FPS itself not open when high-powered AA, you can open the MFAA technology, so that the speed and quality have both.

But not all games are like eating the same graphics card crisis, the vast majority of games on the graphics requirements are not very high, such as "Cross Fire," "Heroes Union" a kind of game midrange graphics card will be able to easily run 100FPS above, this graphics performance when some waste, and that there is no part of FPS to increase at the expense of quality methods? Now I'll introduce another one dark NVIDIA Technology -

lol

And that's the difference between me and Nvidia: they have a marketing department.
I mean, no one can deny that "Dynamic Super Resolution" is a much better name than "GeDoSaTo".

Guys, how much roid rage will Jen-Hsun show?

Do you think he will tear a camera guy in half?

This is the only news that I foresee of being any interest since I expect the game announcements to be a bit lack luster along with the cards. The VR stuff will probably be interesting.

Tomorrow I expect a thread on Jen-Hsun's "Major Gains"

Well Durante, you can safely say you sparked a mini-revolution in PC IQ. The thing is, their tool seems to be Maxwell only :P

Also, UE4 is going to get Voxel GI again according to this site.

EDIT: Chinese direct translation for Anti-Aliasing is "sawtooth recalling"

Upset I missed out on being able to go to their event in London for this. They had free beer, too.

Some of most interesting slides:
Gen comparison (Kelpler vs Maxwell)

Holy. Shit.

A full TWO performance? These must be the real deal.

165W?

Suddenly the potential portable offerings got much more interesting.

That would be pretty shitty of them. Regardless of how they try to sell it, pretty much any GPU they made in the past decade can downsample.

I was dying when I read.

"Why would I need a sawtooth?"

While this is correct the efficiency gains Nvidia is showing off with memory management and the consistent 30% performance gains for MFA suggests there is something we aren't getting from the translation.

Excited to see official benchmarks and price of the top end card. Easy driver supported downsampling and better VR support would also be a godsend.

No wonder that the leaks 1-2weeks ago for the mobile version of the new GPUs had something like 50-80% increase performance.

That is really good news for Laptop gaming and small steam boxes.

It sounds like we are getting a whole bunch of new graphical tweaking goodies in the next Nvidia driver release!

- Super Dynamic Resolution (easier down sampling method)
- MFAA? (new form of Anti-aliasing)

from the ongoing Monolith AMA

We feel great about our PC version and spent a lot of time making sure we created the best experience for that platform. We will be showing a live stream of the PC version on the Nvidia game 24 stream tomorrow at 3pm pdt.

The dynamic part... could be really dynamic, and change in real time? Like Rage did it in consoles. Except to the other side, instead of lowering the render resolution at the framebuffer when the fps is low, increase it more than 100% (supersampling) if the fps allows it.

Live Stream chat is too funny. Mods giving away keys and people getting banned for entering wrong/used codes on Steam. Hilarious! :D

Ok do we know at what time we should actually tune in for this tech stuff, really don't care bout the other stuff lol xD

I've come to the conclusion that I just want the 970 to be <$400, and able to handle 1080 @ 60 FPS with max settings for the next two years.

pls nvidia.

I'm guessing Maxwell won't be announced till the end.

Yep. Technically they already have it set for tomorrow which is right after/at the end of all this game24 stuff.

Also it seems that the media had a bunch of private events last week to hear of the the nvidia news to come, but they are under NDA till later tonight or tomorrow I guess. Linus did a vlog about it and said something along the lines of most of it was stuff we already know but now have a lot more details on and there were some unexpected things also. I'm guessing those are what was already leaked though

EDIT
- Linus Vlog (barely any content but amusing) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4jckd7J4ko
- Also there is a thing called MOD24 going on that Linus is hosting and livestreaming for almost 24 hours

People say, they are getting banned/blocked by Steam for some minutes, because they are entering too many used codes. I didn't know it was a thing, but it makes sense.

I've had that happen to me when I redeemed a load of older humble bundle keys I had forgotten about a while ago. Not a ban, just a cooldown to make you wait a short time before entering more codes :)

What I'm very curious about is Maxwell supporting Embedded Displayport 1.4

I wonder if they adopted this to take advantage of adaptive sync just in case it became a thing? It seems kind of late to adopt 2012 standards for the mobile versions.

Maybe the game will actually run properly on PC since nVidia is working with Ubisoft. I've never liked tessellation on things I walk/run on, though - my feet always go through the textures and it drives me nuts.
