The MSI 970 is so close to a stock 980 that I don't see any reason to buy one of those considering the price difference. Yep, an overclocked 970 is almost too good.
sweet...so 2 of those then... Witcher 3 dont kill my new PC!

570 to a 970. Let's do this!!
Stupid question, but I've never messed around with SLI. Can you use a 970 and a 770 together in SLI?

Nvidia's more mature software ecosystem is another feature in their favour.

Is there an amazon link to the MSI 970 twin frozr? Only one I'm setting says they're unavailable. They didn't sell our already did they?

No. 2 of the same model.
You could use the 770 as a PhysX-card though.
Damn it. I don't know which one to order?
Asus (1279Mhz) or Gigabyte (1329Mhz)? Which one has better cooling?
urg these Canadian prices. 390 for the EVGA 970, 650 for their 980. Only those and Zotac's cards up on ncix, maybe that's all Canada is getting until next week?
Hoping to be able to walk into Canada Computers and grab a new card, but I don't know what I'm gonna go with just yet.
But AMD bribes you with free games (like the new Alien). But yes, if you like to play games at launch, then Nvidia could be the better choice.
Just pulled the trigger on a evga 970.
Are these up on new egg yet?
So after a quick glance at the reviews in the OP, in my case, which is
1. Have a 560ti
2. Don't particularly plan on pushing past 1080p
It seems the 970 might be a good option, no ?
I'm just a little scared by the future. Watch Dogs in particular is already not 60fps in high / 1080p, I can't help but wonder what will the fps be in AC Unity and The Crew.
Another question : the only 970 I have access to and is available atm, is a Gainward one. Is it a good brand ?

Asus Strix or Gigabyte Gaming G1.Which asus model? I assume the Gigabyte is using the Windforce3x, which is a great cooler.

Need to see how the $329 version attacks up against my current 770. Should probably sit this round out though.
They Are Going fast. Bunch of 970 already out of stock.
if i plan on sli'ing 970s what brand would be the best temperature wise?
Canadian prices: FML
Find blower coolers. That's usually the best solution for SLI.
Its a mimic of Nvidia's reference cooler, and no, I wouldn't recommend it. It'd be fine if you don't plan on overclocking whatsoever and simply like the look of it, but otherwise, there's better alternatives for the price.
I ordered the MSI Twin Frozr 970. I actually really didn't want to stick something red in my case(its all black and blue and looks nice), but I'd prefer to have MSI's than EVGA's 970 for the more quiet running. Worth an extra £10 for me.
Should be here on Monday. What would be a good asking price for a MSI GTX 670 Power Edition OC?Its one of the better 670 models available. I'm thinking £150?
EDIT: Aw shit, problem with my payment. :/ Aarrgh. Want to get one before prices start to go up.
Amazing! I might spend a few extra bucks and get the 980 instead of the 970Shit, the 980 even beats the Titan Black (launched just seven months ago for $1000):
edit: Looking at the specs it seems it wasn't much better than a 780 TI anyways.
You really should of ordered the cheaper, SC'ed version with the aftermarket cooler...
