Anyone knows if AMD usually responds with price cuts when nVidia comes out with a new GPUs?
And how long they usually take?

No card currently on the market is going to save you from shitty Ubisoft ports. Don't try to make a decision based around them it will only end in tears.I'm just a little scared by the future. Watch Dogs in particular is already not 60fps in high / 1080p, I can't help but wonder what will the fps be in AC Unity and The Crew.
Amazing! I might spend a few extra bucks and get the 980 instead of the 970
I wonder how that super computer nvidia was showing off would run watch dogs lolNo card currently on the market is going to save you from shitty Ubisoft ports. Don't try to make a decision based around them it will only end in tears.
1. Have a 560ti
2. Don't particularly plan on pushing past 1080p
It seems the 970 might be a good option, no ?

Another question : the only 970 I have access to and is available atm, is a Gainward one. Is it a good brand ?
Hopefully I can get $300+ for my GTX780.. I want to upgrade.
A 970 can run WD at ultra/60fps but there will be drops here and here when CPU limitations kick in.
saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame
I got the dreaded last post curse a page-or-two ago so reposting:
What are Palit like for cards? This has a higher clock speed and is a decent price: http://www.ebuyer.com/665231-palit-gtx-970-jetstream-4gb-gddr5-dual-link-dvi-i-mini-hdmi-three-mini-displayport-pci-e-ne5x970h14g2-2041j
**** just noticed about fans only working over 60 degrees. Not sure if I like that, is that a problem?
They are out nowWhen are these officially launching? I'm ready to get rid of this fucking 560ti
NeweggWhere can I buy a 980 right now?
There were reports of the Nvdiia downsampling working on non-maxwell cards (obviously an oversight). Anyone have any more info on this?

Evga 970 in stock at Newegg alreadyDo the manufacturers have their proprietary coolers on these yet? I'm ready to buy EVGA the second they do.
Damn it Microcenter! Let me add the card to my cart so I can buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FYI: Microcenter has the EVGA GTX970 4GB SC ACX for $339.
So my step up program is still in effect for my GTX 780 Ti Classified. Is it worth it to step up to a vanilla GTX 980?
Look up gtx970 on micro center site. Slow loading but says they have 10+ in stock at my storeAnyone have any luck finding any at Microcenter? I love instant gratification and I'd love to have it now![]()
It seems that in the end, the wait payed off. I'm getting bored of running off my 4790k's igpu. The thing is that, as I want to in a couple of months get my hands on a LG 34 UM95P with a native res of 3440 x 1440, will the difference between going to a 970 or a 980 be too big? Or should I begin to make up my mind and join team SLI? And in that case, what should I do?
Thank you!
Right, but is it the reference cooler or their custom solution? The picture indicates tht it's their version, but I thought non-reference coolers usually came a bit later. The description only says "with fan" lol.Evga 970 in stock at Newegg already
I see, I'm still debating I might just get the 970 and save the "extra bucks"!Even if 200$/ are just 'a few bucks' for you it's really not worth it compared to an overclocked 970.
It's not a huge increase so it depends on how much you're going to spend. If it's 100 or less I'd do it. Another incentive is the lower power consumption = higher overclock ceiling.
What happened to 800 series?

So the 2 evga 970 on newegg one for 329 and 339. Is the one for 10 more worth it? I mean it is only 10 but figured I'd ask
Wait, is the GTX 980 better than the 780 ti?
I'm a bit confused as I just checked the online-shops and the 780 ti is 100 EUR more expensive...![]()
