By going back the way you came from to single out the wizards, the only real threat in this strike. When they wouldn't follow me, I fired a few bullets at them to aggro them up/get their attention. For the other enemies, you just have to be on the move all the time, hopping from one platform to the other.
To me, this room felt easier than the actual boss fight. I tried this strike solo already a few days ago and got through that room with relative ease, even without that tactic. The boss fight though, I feared that one. But knowing that the waves of adds will eventually stop spawning and that it's best to just ignore the boss until it's pretty much just you and him made it much less painful. I didn't die a single time throughout the whole strike.
I've decided that this is just not working out.
I have had another 8 legendary engrams today and every single one of them have been absolutely awful.
I need to get more shards so i can rank up my legendary boots and or rank my exotic chest up (thanks Xur) and just grab any crappy looking helm so I can at least get to a raiding position.
It just totally sucks that I have spent so long trying to beat the cryptarch that I have now really gone insane, plus having to write about how victorious he is on twitter is starting to get to me. I am loving the game still, just want to try a raid now!

This right here really is the key.
At least this is a Bungie game where somebody can get disconnected and actually jump back into the group afterwards. If only the Halos could have had this kind of drop-in/drop-out/re-connect co-op.

So I'm working on the 2nd step to get my Exotic shotgun from this bounty and I've started playing Crucible. Talk about terrible... I can barely kill anyone. Any suggestions for the best options to use in Voidwalker for my Warlock? Sunsinger is only halfway leveled so that option is out the door, Void is full. Level 26 with a decent auto-rifle and shotgun, also a legendary fusion but I'm pretty bad with it. Was at 5/25 after 2 matches and then after a terrible 3rd match, I'm now at 2/25. Ugh.
And yeah I've avoided Crucible up until now cause I'm always pretty terrible with these types of games and PVP.

twice today for me and 2 purples stayed legendary (though i got two gauntlets). never got a legendary before today and now 4. hang in there man. the gods will smile upon you. or just rig the deck and farm the cave of wonders with us
I think when you get armor from certain factions, it has specific stats it focuses on. For example, I believe dead orbit faction armor will give you armor that increases strength and discipline

Yes. You have to look at everything. What attributes they raise, what the upgrades unlock, etc. I didn't choose based on looks really. For some reason I didn't know about New Monarchy until later but I'm sticking with FWC for now because I want to get legendary armor. I can change later if I want. Just want to get out of my rare armor set.

I was thinking about buying the exotic engram since he didn't bring anything new, but the chance of it turning to a hunter or Titan item scared me.

Time to start PvP with my Void Fusion Rifle! I hope this take TOO long...
I subjected myself to doing all but 3 of the 25 needed Strikes today. If I never see that Summoning Pit Strike again, I will die happy.
The only things I don't like about the gun is the small ammo amount per reload and the center dot seems way too low on the sights. But given what I went through to get it, I'll be damned if I'm not going to keep using it.
I also found out that I'm actually fairly good at the free-for-all Crucible mode. Which is blowing my mind since I feel like I do absolutely terrible at Control.

This game... I ended up buying two cloaks cause i like variety and then Xur had to show up with a chest piece when i already snagged a legendary vanguard get. Now my boots and helm are the only thing not purped out and i'm completely dry on marks. Gonna end up grinding Vanguard shits for marks.
My question: it locks you out of earning marks completely after you hit 100 for the week right? there aren't other means of earning marks past the Vanguard strike list? (weekly/daily maybe?)

That's basically what we did for both the nightfall and level 28- back out for the initial wave, the hide behind the furthest left-side rock for the remainder. Far easier than the preceding room!

I wouldn't worry about it. Like I said to Woofy, it's likely cos peeps were worried they wouldn't get the sunbreakers and it's only the secon week. Expect totally new stuff all round next Friday.

i've farmed it so much today and the few legendaries i got turned rare. i'm just below a level 25.
buying the exotic chest armor for my Hunter was the highlight of my day.
guess i need to start focusing on leveling up my vanguard rank because i can't get a legendary anything to save my life

And honestly to the people complaining that bad people are getting loot in PVP.
The usual scenario that I have been tweeted is thus.

it's either a legendary or exotic 20% of the time note that the 20% then is divided by 3 for classes...
Blue 50%
Materials/coins/ 45%
They may get the engram but by god they don't get anything from it.

I don't know how it'd hobble it. Doesn't seem like MH where getting a full set or something would be beneficial. I just look at the potential defense, what extra attributes it might have as you upgrade, and the Str/Int/Dis stuff and go for the percentage of effect that works for you.

Just accepted breh! I need boots so bad it's not even funny. Fingers crossed i get the lucks tonight.
Also only need 4 more motes to snag the Exotic engram. Besides leveling and such anyone know of a somewhat reliable way to get even a few? Don't suppose there is a golden chest on venus or something with a stray chunk of traveler in it???
