I bought 7 from the gunsmith a couple of hours ago.
The multiplayer is so good. Especially one you find a playing style that you really like.
i´m at the same stage of that bounty. soloing that nf-strike at 25 is no joke...
after you kill those first couple of thralls and acolytes, you can wait for the wizard to calm down and then sprint by him and the remaining hallowed knights into the next area. when you try to open the door the first wave consists of thralls (15-20) and you should be able to kill those with your fusion. 2nd wave adds knights and wizards and so far that´s meant back to orbit for me (sitting at 62/200 after 2 tries)

Yes! The multiplayer is so fun. I pick up those bounties before any of the PVE ones cause the beauty of multiplayer. Once you find your playstyle (shoulder charges/catapult tiger knees are mine) it's a blast to play.

ok and to gain cruciable marks I have to play PVP? I hate it....
Why do you hate it? You on ps4? Could play some matches with you, it's more fun on a team.

Well, you can also get them by trading in materials, but that's 50 mats per 5 marks. You get 2 marks every game you lose, 3 marks every game you win.
And more marks for 3 kills in a row etc. Most I have got is 5 marks in a game.
Farm materials and turn them in. It's 1000 materials to get 100 crucible marks though.
Otherwise just skip crucible marks and do vanguard marks.
I found it did. I put it on level 24 ( I'm level 23), found I got more blue drops. But still takes ages to farm. I had to turn the sound off in the end, there is only so much " we have awoken the hive" I can take.
Control all day.. I don't like PVP, but this is doable.
Also, I'd like to echo what has already been stated.. Play the game, get your marks (Vanguard, Crucible and factions) purchase your legendaries, and when it comes time to upgrade your legendaries with ascendant shards(good luck farming those) you'll have to breakdown legendaries/exotics to get them... Nothing against the people who do the cave thing.. I tried it until my AR ran out of ammo, and was done with it. I don't understand how people can do this for hours.

What the hell is a "super use" .. I used my Nova and surely did kill more than 3 more than once but it's not counting in the Bounty.
What am I doing wrong?
Apart from salvage (for reasons I can't really put my finger on) I really enjoy all the competitive modes. The 3 vs 3 skirmishes are particularly enjoyable. They take the utility of my defender titan and cranks it up to 11.
I wish that exotic armor could be recolored to match your shader.

Fusion rifle is all I use, but there are a lot of maps that are just better for shotgun and I will get killed by it non stop. I am bad though so there is that.
Wait til you're on the last step like me and can't get people to join you lol. The step after the void damage kills involves doing a special level 26 version of Summoning Pits. Gotta kill the adds around the boss until Xyor spawns then kill him x.x

It is fun to boomslap people. Feels like Halo all over again!

You get the strange coins only once, so if you're running the strike again for coins, you will be disappointed.

the amount of people who run at me with shotguns from 20 ft away while i'm shooting them with an auto rifle is amazing

Awesome. I have the materials to fully upgrade my gear to 28 as well, but in two minds if I should spend all the ascendant shards/energy on current gear rather than waiting for better gear to level up.

Same here. And everybody I have farmed it with (about 6 people) nobody has gotten a legendary.
For people playing the weekly strike at level 22. I cant beat the first big room. Too many wizards! Any advice?
I will go with that.
Now I'm not sure about whether I should start a new game with a Titan, or continue with my Hunter. The Titan stuff looks so much cooler to me, and I assume this character will probably transfer to the expansions and perhaps even the following Destiny games? If so, I'd like to go with the one I think looks the cooler

Backtrack through the corridor you came in from, and use that to take out the wizards one by one. They can't follow you all the way to the other entrance, they will just float in that corridor where you can shoot them.

Got my first legendary engram drop last night, playing with Weremichael. It turned into an exotic chest piece for another class. I threw it into the vault. Before logging off for the night, I finally hit Vanguard level 2 and bought my first legendary armor piece which nudged me up to light level 24.
I guess I'll switch over to mostly strikes from running a ton of patrols for rep to earn more marks to finish my starter legendary armor set, unless I get lucky and RNGesus favors me. Hopefully, I'll enough strange coins by next weekend to profit from Xur.

Tried to do it last night with 2 24's and a 23.
We got rolled. Didn't even feel possible. I just watched video of a way to do it without ever entering the room but we probably died 10-20 time before we gave up. It is hard to shoot phogoth with 7-8 yellow wizard and knights all swarming your shit!
As for the room with the 3 runes to unlock it took us quite a few tries too. We had to hang out around the entrance we can in and back out to the previous room on occasion. Be careful though. We were getting attacked by a knight and a wizard from that room at the same time so we took them out right away so we had a place to retreat to.

Just completed both of the ones I got yesterday and both of the guns are sorta disappointing. Pocket infinity isn't nearly as useful as the 77 Wizard I was using, and Bad Juju has such a low amount of bullets that even with instant reloading on kills you may be reloading it manually very often.

Sounds like exactly what I did. I would get around 20 kills a run... I just finished it a few hours ago.
Destiny has been a huge emotional roller coaster for me I can't decide if I love it or hate it. But I still keep playing!
I have a question for DestinyGAF on Xbox One.
Does anyone notice the subtle lag between Dinklebot's comments and actual events?
The most noticable one for me is when heading down to the moon strike and you hear him say "Sounds like where getting close." then seconds later you hear a huge bellow from the boss below. Shouln't his comment have come after the scream?
My theory was that some game elements may have been skewred when they ported it to Xbox One.
