There's not, no. Originally the plan was to have it so you could lock a the traits of a subclass for another stat boost and get a new copy that levels faster. This has changed and the third slot is probably just left over from that. There may be a third subclass at some point in the future, but not right now.

I'm not done with the game but at this point it feels like a job rather than a game:

I have to play 20 more strikes for my exotic bounty - there are only 6 strikes In the entire game so this has got incredibly dull - not going to proceed with this - will do the weeklys got the strange coins and get this slowly over the next 6 months lol

I have to get crucible or vanguard marks and rep to buy stuff - this is incredibly repetitive and at rep level 2 for both factions I desperately need new content to make this less of a constant retreading of old ground.

I need to farm mars for materials to rank up my current legendary armour - I am probably going to do this next but my god collecting materials is dull

I need to do daily public events to get shards - that's fine but will take a while with it being limited to one daily a day

I'm doing all of the above to equip my character just so I can do a raid - as a player none of the above will make me any more skilled for the raid so it's frustrating to be locked behind so many grind walls.

This comes across as quite moany and I know all of the above is not too bad - I also know that this is the nature of mmo's but it's all adding up to put me off playing

I feel the same way, it just occurred to me a little before you. Around when i hit twenty and had to start grinding light to level up. The game just lost me,

Is the launcher worth it?

I personally don't see the point in using an exotic launcher or even machine gun when you could use that spot for primary or secondary weapon that you could get more use from. But that's just me.

Titan's charge shield is so unreliable, unlike the charge melee the shield will either not activate at the right time or stop after a second for no reason.

Compared to the melee charge it's completely unreliable to activate, please bungie fix this so it actually kicks in correctly.

Yeah time spent doing that could be used to actually progress with your character. Although, I'll still stop by every now and then to see if I can get a purple to drop so I can break it down for the mats. I'm at the point now where I need shards to increase my level. That's after I've done the daily/weekly/bounties etc.

These were my thoughts after shooting at a cave for 15 mintues. Loot comes naturally by just playing different game modes.

Already have full legendary/exotic armor. Already have capped marks. Since there are all these time gates on marks etc, there's nothing but farming to do if I want to try getting a gun I actually like and so on lol. I got not a single piece of armor during the raid either x.x I did get a shotgun which is nice, but other than that all materials. Strikes besides heroic/nightfall are worthless since it's just blues at the end. The game is literally pure RNG after hitting the timelocks.

Not complaining really, just pointing this fact out.

Edit: Also, anyone else up for Xyor on PS4? x.x

I've been lucky getting them from decoding blue engrams. Also do your daily public event, those have a chance of rewarding them as well as crucible.

Yeah Voice was ridiculously easy in comparison to the other two bounties I've gotten. I just ran the first room like 20 something times lol

this is likely a dumb question, but do you get stat boosts when you level up? i play around between some different gear for different build types that shuffles my character between level 24 and 25. aside from the gear bonuses, does the actual light level effect stats in any way?

I don't see how having the ability to trade exotics would hurt the game in any way. I'm not a fan of Thorn at all and would love the opportunity to trade it for a different exotic if someone wanted to.

It's a guaranteed exotic, but not necessarily for your class. You might get a chest piece for a different class, I got a Titan one but am a Warlock.

Works fine for me. Main difference to the shoulder charge is that it doesn't work in the air. If your feet leave the ground do to jumping or uneven terrain it'll drop off. Otherwise works as advertised, was hilarious fun using it during Sword of Crota mission.

Bungie were absolutely correct: the game /does/ start at 20.

The game is a loot grind, and that's absolutely fine. You'll either love it or you won't. Me? It has me hooked. I find the pvp incredibly fun, and the pve grind doesn't feel like a chore because he combat is so good.

I can see why people don't like it though. I never got into Diablo for the same reasons.

You need 65 marks per armour piece, 120 for the helm, and 150 per weapon.

You won't need a legendary weapon till you start trying the level 28 nightfall strike and the rai,d, so ignore those for now as shiny as they are. A fully levelled rare will serve you just fine.

What you want to do is focus on the armour. Too can earn 200 marks a week: 100 vanguard, 100 crucible. Means you can afford two armour pieces in the first week if you have the time to get gender rep to level 2 as well.

Look into farming public events and patrol missions. Very fast. Tiger level strike playlist for +6 marks too.

Also, look at the independent vendors and decide if you want something them or the Crucible vender. If you want from the FWC, Dead Orbit, or New Monarchy, equip their cosmetic item and get their rep up by playing pve or pvp.

It really doesn't take long. You just need to focus and have a plan.

It's a guaranteed exotic, but it can be for any class. So it's still a bit of a gamble.

You don't start getting marks until you hit level 18, so any bounties you did before you got there didn't net you the marks you thought they did unfortunately. Do the strike playlist and you'll get a ton of marks.

Warlock with 100% cooldown for supers is probably one of the better PvP classes IMO.
