I was going to say that was me but I have yet to recieve a legendary.

My mate has almost the same gear again so the only thing we look different by is the shader. Im hoping we get to a point with all classes that there is enough loot with enough different looks that you barely see the same stuff in the world.

I hope they introduce Transmog, seems to be a great addition to most modern loot games.

Take solace in the fact that the legendary engram he walked out with probably gave him a rare item instead :)

Striker was pretty good for the 28 Heroic (I felt like flashbangs were doing a little more work than the ward) but you'll want Defender on Nightfall for the void grenades. Was doing 4-6k per Magnetic thanks to Void Burn.
 
Be nice if people who are looking for others for the weekly strike would put XB1 for PS4. Anyone down for level 26 weekly strike on XB1 in an hour?

I should have brought Voidwalker in for the void damage but being sent to Orbit didn't sound appealing.
 
Networking is so spotty in this game. I've gotten so many cattle and bee errors that I don't know if I should bother playing anymore.

That's the other deal I want. And I guess I could use my motes on xur to try it but I think I'm just gonna wait till he puts it up.

Sometimes you're just unfortunately placed with a team of pros that just kick ass and you barely have a chance, and you're just forced to see your bounty score go all the way back to zero. I got it up to 76/500 today, but I don't have much motivation to continue because half the matches take my score back :/

Just continue on. You get more for each kill than you lose for each death. I just completed that. The mission on the moon is worse.

Edit: I am 26 and up for anything but I am swamped with work so I can only pay attention on Sunday evening and on Monday. PSN: Staticneuron Lvl 26 hunter (almost 27 just need some mats).
 
Just played the phogoth mission with a dude that would. It leave the shrieked room. Screwed me and the other dude over completely since it kept spawning wizards.
 
Is it possible to get three strange coins from doing public events with each of your characters? I tried today but only got one strange coin and some blue crafting mats.

Nearly did this today, while clearing out greens. Dismantling legendaries should be a longer timer.

I dismantled one piece of legendary gear on purpose, though. Got 3 Ascendent shards for it. Is this the norm?

I think the minimum is 2 from a legendary armor piece.
 
Anyone wanna play? I'm a level 27 Bladedancer on XB1. I'm leaning towards doing the Nightfall Strike, but I'm down for anything.
 
I know exotic gear can get up to 30 light. My armor is at 25 right now. There are two upgrades left. Will the next one take it to 27 or 28 light? I need to know, because I need 3 more light to go up a level.

It wasn't a big deal it was a rocket launcher, and I already had one to begin with so it's not a huge loss.
 
Just got my Exotic Bounty, but I don't like at all the fact that it forces me to do PVP, so I may scrap it entirely.

Very bad design decision.
 
Today was a good day. I got a Legendary Engram from the Crucible, it became a Legendary Hunter helm! AND it was a Crucible Legendary (I'm only Rank 1 for Crucible). I also got another Legendary Bounty, this time for a machine gun, Super Good Advice.
 
I usually avoid snipers in games, and in Destiny go for the fusion rifle, but I got the Ice Breaker yesterday and good god that thing is too wonderful to put down. Recharges ammo constantly (no reload) so I can just perch and get comfy, and it explodes kills because of course it does.
 
Anyone want to run some Crucible with me? Good for those of you with void exotic bounty requirements and those of you who want to abuse RNGesus for his wrongdoings upon you.

I feel bad that RNGesus has helped me get my second character to level 26...legendary boots and chest piece for my titan from blue engrams (bought an exotic helmet too for him). Not only that, I got a legendary chest piece for my warlock too. Plus I got like three legendary weapons today. I have my Hunter at 28, Warlock at 25, and Titan at 26


I feel bad cause people are struggling to get their main account to this level and I'm over here like...sorry guys lol
 
OK me and my brother have beaten the 'story' and have L20+ characters, done everything except for the raid. We play alot of PvP.

Heres what i think should happen with Destiny.


  • Shared reputation and marks throughout all characters, i believe only Glimmer is shared.
  • Matchmaking for every mode
  • Option to get rid of the EXP bar in the HUD when your under Level 20.
  • Proper in game clan support
  • Split screen
  • Skipable cutscenes
  • Add more cutscenes to flesh out the story
  • Map voting for competitive multiplayer
  • Option to turn your light on and off at will
  • Add some easter eggs and shit to do in the levels
  • Give some actual lore and dialogue to the NPC's
  • Add another difficulty level above Heroic
  • Grimore should be viewable in game, not just through Bungie.net
  • Ability to select the 'Skulls' for missions, instead of what Bungie lets us have on Heroic.
  • Offline mode
  • No supers in competitive multiplayer, but keep everything else that makes the classes unique
  • Vehicles should be in the levels instead of some shit that can materialize out of thin air at will
  • In game text chat
  • Banner customization should be unlocked account wide on all characters instead of having to deposit certain items in the bank or having to buy them from the Special Events dude in the Tower.
  • Audio options to make voices/chat/FX/music different volumes.
  • Stop making us load into Tower just to decrypt stuff and get bounties, It's a fucken wank and waste of time.
  • Ship decal editor
  • Remove LVL 5 PVP requirement, you’re creating a unnecessary barrier for people to play.
  • Let us touch the PvP without even playing the PvE. If you’re worried about shitty players not getting ‘trained’ here’s a newsflash, they already suck! Plus every other game doesn't block it's multiplayer behind its campaign (unless your MGS: PW)
  • All multiplayer modes should be available from the get go. All Bungie are doing is creating low playerbases for those modes
  • All abilities should be available in PvP from the get go even from Level 1
  • Ability to toggle the helm on or off
  • Every weapon should be available in PvP
  • Have proper loadouts for PvP instead of the bullshit way we currently have of going through the inventory
  • Stop resetting our Fireteam settings automatically to private all the time.
  • REDUCE LOADTIMES FFS. I can get into a COD match within 30 seconds of putting the disc in.
  • Let us just boot to the Crucible menu like you can in COD
  • Proper Spectator mode for PvP (Twitch doesn't cut it, the quality sucks and is a bandwidth hog)
  • Apprentice mode for low level players similar to Diablo 3 to play with their high level friends.
There should be a similar menu for Destiny

Why do i mention this? This makes PvP more noticeable and easier to log in which in turn means a stronger (bigger) online playerbase in the longrun. At the moment i feel it's hidden away and locked behind PvE and stupid unnecessary level requirements.
 
I'm scared of Nightfall as a 27 still using a rare autorifle. My group only got through the 26 weekly strike by cheesing the final boss from the hallway (though granted our Titan is only 25 and hasn't leveled his damn defender class yet)
 
Well at least I'm getting a new error message today - vulture. I have two years of Gold banked up on the account, but apparently it's not sure I have access to multiplayer.
 
I know Crucible loot scales to you a bit. Would I be screwing myself over equipping gauntlets that give me abilities that work better for Crucible but take me down to 23 from 24?
 
I got a third exotic bounty (for the machine gun this time) and it was by far the easiest. I finally did it and I now have 4 total exotic weapons and 2 legendary ones.

I went ahead and bought the exotic helmet from Xur, and a couple of purple items so I'm finally level 26.

I don't think I'll ever do another exotic bounty. They are a pain in the ass.
