Need one for Vault of Glass first attempt, 26+ is fine, the rest of us are 27/28. Bring a good attitude, ammo synth, and void damage.

yeah he tends to jump to conclusions with little research for the sake of shock and angry ranting, but so many of the points were on key that I'm almost 20 minutes in and I'm still largely agreeing with his complaints as they have been my own.

I love playing Destiny because I'm a social gamer, I love joking around with people I play with. If this game didn't have co-op I don't know how much fun I'd have.
 
Alright pretty stoked. I got enough Strange Coins to grab the Warlock gloves. I mean I already have an exotic but that one's for Voidwalker, so it makes sense to have an Exotic for Sunsinger right? And maybe next week Xur wont even have it anymore.
 
I had a lot of fun doing the raid with my buddies.
I'm glad I went in knowing nothing about the raid, it's been fun figuring it all out.

Not done yet, but we're continuing on tomorrow.

Just started up my third character. Unreal that something as simple as a skip cutscene option wasn't included in this game -- a game that's designed for repetition, no less.
 
The Crucible is exactly what is wrong with MP games and Bungie in general nowadays.

You can be the greatest player in the world or be the absolute worst, it doesn't matter, it's all random!

I was shown a way to cheese through that Phogoth mission, without having to deal with all the mobs. Certainly made that shitty mission easier.

Legendary piece of armorthat I currently own, I owned by getting my vanguard to rank 2 and getting marks lol. I'm not spoiled. Whatsoever. There are guys here who fucking own like 3 exotic weapons, and I gotta do a hard ass strike to get my first.

The difference in difficulty of the top level weekly heroic strike is a bit silly. As a level 27 everything pops up immune without the proper damage type. Level 28 with the same weapons and not worrying about damage type is a borderline cakewalk.
 
eww vanguard armor. I'm on the path for that legendary #NEWMONARCHY gear. I mean is RNGesus even real. I just go for the stuff that's scientifically proven to work na'mean

that's weird. I doubt youtube took it down, the music should've classified as fair use since he didn't really use it for long periods of time. And that's the only foreseeable thing I can see as the reason.
 
I am lvl 24 hunter and I got my first legendary the other day after getting a purple post package with engrams, 1 blue and 2 purple, after going to the cryptarch I got one legendary weapon. I guessing the post package came thanks to me completing a lvl 22 vanguard strike mission..

Will be playing them a lot more now the coming days to see if I can get anything else. My luck with engrams so far have been SHIT!

Close. The the controller that was previously used to sign in on the PS4 is automatically turned off when going into remotely from the Vita. What you can do is, after you connect your Vita to remote play, turn on your controller and choose a separate account that what you're currently signed in with on the Vita. This isn't useful for a game like destiny since the separate account is going to be the one that is signed into Destiny.

A horrible work around is to sign into your Vita with a secondary account, pair it with your PS4. Start remote play, turn on your DS4, sign in with your primary account. Now the PS4 sees that a secondary account is using the remote play connection, but the primary account is doing the controlling.

One caveat is that the VIta has a screen timeout that isn't disabled automatically during remote play since you're supposed to be interacting with it anyway. Last time I checked, you also cannot turn it off manually, so you're stuck tapping the touchscreen every minute or so.

Of course, this can all be avoided if we had native D4 support :/
 
I gotta give props to the raid. Each encounter ended up building up into the final challenges.

Also, I didn't know you could fly/glide/attack in the air infinitely with the relic by jumping and hitting R1.
 
What determines legendary engrim drops? My buddy and I farmed outside the cave and he got six in about two hours and I got none. I am lvl 21 and he is 25 if that even matters.
 
So how do people get dem legendaries and uniqes quickly? strikes, buying from factions, or generally just doing whatever and just getting lucky?
 
who wants to help me dick around and get the exotic hand cannon on PS4?

just need to kill a special guy in the summoning pits
 
The Cave is real. 4 and a half hours on it today with two friends and a couple randoms and I got:

5 Legendary drops. Turned into a hand cannon, shotgun, machine gun, gauntlets and a cloak.

22 rare. a whole plethora of stuff, dismantled a lot of it but kept a good sniper rifle, and some other back up guns.

75ish greens. All dismantled. I have 245 weapon parts and about 200 wires.

Cryptarch is 1000 away from level 10.

I am shutting down the ps4 after a looooong 10 hour day of Destiny. I got more loot from the cave than I did the entire game up to this point, being a level 23. Going back first thing in the morning. Bungie is sure to patch this so I recommend getting in while you can.

Oh yea, a few of the blues were coins after decrypting so I bought exotic chest armor.

EDIT: Oh, and an event takes place every 30 minutes right at the cave so you get Vanguard, too. Plus, your Gilmore cards fill up FAST. Using consumables can also beef up glimmer from all the guys in the cave. I scored SO BIG today. Extremely excited.
 
just got in my 25 strikes (before falling asleep) towards my Toland's bounty...I would have hated waiting until next Friday to continue the bounty (though I think I will end up hating the weapon when I get it)

Some thoughts..

Lower the purple engram drop rate dramatically, but make them a guaranteed legendary. I think this will keep the loot rate where Bungie wants it, but not piss off people who think they are about to get something good.

If you plan on "farming" a strike, please do so with people who are on the same page as you. It is very frustrating starting a strike only to find out toward the end that two people on your team plan on killing themselves so they can farm for engrams...

Still there is nothing better then finding a group of randoms who all are trying to speed run strikes and you knock them out in 5-6 minutes each run. (thanks)

Buying from factions is the fastest way combined with getting lucky with strange coins to buy stuff from Xur.

I believe the true, fastest way to get legendary gear without worrying about RNG is getting the crucible ranking up to at least 2. You'll be able to buy gear on a near-weekly basis. This gets you geared so you can do the harder challenges like the nightfall weekly, where you have a guaranteed legendary/exotic drop on completion (I think... my fireteam all got legendary guns while I won an exotic helmet).

I personally took a longer route by getting Vanguard to Rank 3, but I did some Crucible on the side. I ended up getting Crucible to 2 soon after. Now I have two factions I can buy legendary gear from - one of which who sells me guns.
