PSN? Looking for a couple more people around level 27 :)

Yeah, arrekusu77, level 28. I'm also awesome with the relic, people who get sucked in at the last boss wont need to help me and can focus on oracles. Have only died from bugs in my last few runs. I'll be home around 4:30 CT.

I just realized you can play dailies, weeklies and Nightfall on alt character and get all the loot all over again, basically bypassing the daily/weekly limit. Then just put it in the vault and use it with main character.

brb making Warlock..

I would like to make a Warlock but it's too much work to build up another character. I have over 60 hours on my Hunter and still not quite satisfied with everything.

Practice your hand cannon skills. It's a murder beast when you get good with it.

Yeah I love to use it but it can be very sensitive to lag. Even though you aim at the head you sometimes miss. It can get very frustrating!

What handcannon do you use btw? I use the blue MK. 56. :)

Nah, Rust iron on Mars is the worst, at least on earth it shines ever so slightly, rather than straight up blending in with the ground.

Yup, relic iron sucks. When doing the story missions, I seriously found only one node x.x It's gotten easier after learning some locations, but it still sucks lol.

I need to do a titan, and I've already got a full set of legendary armor for her. Being able to pick between subclassed after first character is nice as well.

I just tried my first Strike mission on the moon with some random player, holy hell we got destroyed. so many enemies respawning from all over the place. one point I was ads shooting some knight and suddenly I got overun by the white creatures. we barely survived until there's 2 wizard and a bunch of knight come and just destroyed, one of the player quit and well, me and the other guy think we had no chance with just 2 of us so we quit as well.

any tips to beat strike mission when playing with random? I'm not sure how you enable voice chat in this game.

Sure. I'm hoping to be back from my haircut by that time. It. All depends on how long it will take for the barber to finish. But sure, I'll join. I'm a level 27 Titan Defender.

Sick, I'll also add you guys today.

Need 1 more (preferably a hunter) and we are good to go!

I got tired of doing strikes and PvP the other night so I changed it up to do some Skywatch farming while I watched some football.

The best part is when the wave of hive comes in from the left - me and two other guys just kept blasting into the room with supers going constantly from all the orbs of light we generated. Good times for what felt like 10 straight minutes. Got a few decent blues out of it, but of course no legendaries.

I did that and got ganged up by 3 players at once. :(

I must piss people off in control though, I just sit there buying time for my teammates to take other zones or pick them off while they're focused on me lol.
I had 4 going in once but I kept going in and out of the shield. I ended up killing 3 of them. I also had another titan defender throw up his ward of dawn right next to me and we both started dancing lol

I know this is a stupid quesiton, but if you're wearing a FWC item (or any of the non-Vanguard faction items really) and you play Crucible do you still earn Crucible rep, or only for FWC or the other faction you have equipped?

I don't really understand why the Nightfall mission puts you back into orbit, it should just put you back at the start of the mission instead. Having to go through the mission summary / loading screen / intro cut-scene is annoying.

Excellent choice, beast weapon in PvP.

Really? That's great! As a Striker/Defender Titan, this will help even more. >:)

I knew Thorn was one I wouldn't go for, but Bad Juju being a primary was tempting, and if I get the choice again I'll go that, but for a Primary I really want Hard Light -- hopefully from Xur next weekend!

Lucky. Have yet to get one despite doing all the pve and pvp bounties every day since the game came out. ):

I know the feeling. I've done 95% of all bounties as well, excluding the impossible (Salvage) or really hard ones, and this was my first.

I am not sure if it helps, but I heard that possibly handing in multiple bounties at once increases your chances. I handed in 5 today at once and got it on my last one. Maybe it increases the chance with each bounty submitted during a time? No idea.

I don't understand why you would subject yourself to such crap when there are actual fun modes to play and grind.

I have yet to find a mode that is fun and also as effective as this. strikes and pvp don't do it for me.
this I can do while I watch some series, or cook some food. (remote play ftw).

The cave of wonders is good when you just reach level 20 and need to get a lot of rare gear with light, but once you make it to the point where you need legendaries to lvl up it's better to just join a faction and lvl up its rep and get crucible marks and simply buy legendaries. It's a lot easier than relying on RNG.

I regret choosing Thorn and I haven't even finished the bounty! Dammit.

Hopefully I get Pocket Infinity bounty soon because I really want a kickass Exotic weapon.

I think Titans have the coolest armor.

I am really saddened that Xur was selling the Hunter helmet I wanted week 1. Now I pray it will be brought back this Friday. Want it so bad.

Neither because the Sunbreakers are the only exotic I need.

Word. I've a lot of strange coins now, and had already bought the sunbreakers. Thinking of buying more exotics from the Agent of Nine (even though we can only equip 1 at a time) and perhaps he will have one of those two warlock exotic chest pieces available on Friday.

100% agree with this. If I happen to be over by the cave for whatever reason I'll usually do it for a few minutes just for kicks, but that's about it. I like grinding stuff out in games and I actually enjoy doing the glimmer chest run in the Rocketyard for example, but in doing that there's actual interaction and I kill enemies along the way. Just standing in one spot and shooting pushes even my limits.

This, pretty much. After I do the bounties I want for the day, and maybe some strikes/PvP, sometimes mindless farming is just what I need to kill some time.

Why even play the game if you don't enjoy strikes or pvp? What else is there?

"Materials are hard to farm"

Look harder. Seriously. You can gather 50-75+ materials in 15-20 minutes, easily, on any planet.

If you're hunting Relic Iron by scouring the planet looking for nodes, youredoingitwrong.gif

Every single planet has areas that are loaded to the brim with chest spawns, most have resource nodes nearby, but those are a bonus, the chests are what you want. They all contain materials, and you get free glimmer and engrams or other loot now and then.

There are chests everywhere, I mean everywhere. You haven't found them all, I promise you.

There's guides floating around online, but you don't really need to constantly farm one spot and loop it if you don't want to (I generally don't bother), you can bop between different areas tackling patrols while looping all the spawns in the vicinity.

Quick tips for speed farming materials:

Respec to full Agility. Bring a weapon with the Lightweight (+2 Agility) mod. Be sure to check all of your talents, some have a bonus point of agility on them, not just the stat talents.

Don't get off your Sparrow. Drive into caves and buildings, get off, loot, get back on your sparrow rather than resummoning a new one.

Use your jumps to scout for chests. That green glow is distinctive and easy to spot from the air, when you're scouting a new area, get some height and scan the area.

Look behind, under, around, within everything in every area. There are so many chest spawns (I've found areas that have chests that literally spawn two feet away from each other), some of them cleverly tucked away behind objects so they can't be spotted from the air or from common routes.

Go to the edges of areas, look at them from above, look behind debris and cover, and look for every cave and small building entrance. Every single planet has tons of these, some zones have more than others, but those little caves and buildings are all guaranteed chest spawns. They're just the beginning of what you can find, but they give you a good guaranteed basic loop to scout while you're discovering all the other chests tucked away everywhere.

Best way to do this is with two friends so you can split farm patrols, but that's just a bonus, soloing for materials is fast and easy.

It has a lot kick to it, but tough it out all the way to the stock upgrade. After you plug that upgrade in you have full auto shotty that deals very good damage over surprisingly long ranges.

I maybe have over 1100 kills with shotguns and basically everyone of them with Invective ;)

Mmm, delicious, haha. I hope to have it fully leveled up for the Iron Banner! :)
