I already have Universal Remote though
There was an interesting thread on DBO, about designing a third subclass for each class.
The only requirements is it would fill the damage type the class doesn't have.
Ie Void Hunter, Arc Warlock, Solar Titan
For the hunter they need a subclass for support like the other ones have. A class that makes the hunter more viable in high level PvE. Someone mentioned having a turret to draw enemy fire.
I suggested casting a one way void shield, basically, think the Knight shields, but you can shoot through it and they can't shoot you. Or maybe something that allows you to cast a void spell on enemies/a boss and it would significantly reduce the damage they do.
I already have Universal Remote though
What modes do you mostly play?
Bad JuJu is a nightmare for PvP but a monster in PvE.
Invective prolly best for PvP
It's auto reload feature that makes it worth getting is pretty crappy for raids.
People seem to be let down by Thorn. Apparently a vendor legendary has better stats.
I went with Invective because I run an Auto Rifle/Shotgun combo.
Grim Citizen III + Invective is my current loadout.
Universal takes up both primary and special slots tho, invective does not.
One thing I will say about the Crucible is the lag can be pretty fucking terrible at times. I got a postmortem kill from fucking melee tonight.

Anyone on GAF with a higher combat rating?
I watched someone streaming last night using a Universal remote and a sniper... so this can't be true.
There's farming, and then there's shooting into a cave with respawning level 5 enemies for end-game gear. I'm totally fine with farming strikes for loot. Shooting into a cave (or just standing there) is lame. Really lame.
Bad JuJu is an Pulse Rifle with a very small clip (five bursts) but reloads instantly on kills. So you will be fine in PvE but not good in PvP.
Thorn will probably be the same in both modes
For the people let down by Thorn, has anyone unlocked the Damage Over Time upgrade? I haven't yet, so I do feel Thorn is weaker than my rare HC that has explosive rounds and a faster reload. But I'm hoping the DoT will make Thorn more viable. I really really want The Last Word, though.

I'm not sure if this is fully understood, but the Legendary weapons in the tower have fixed mods - you can find the exact same weapon in the wild with different mods.
Mods can absolutely define a weapon, the right combination can do amazing things for different guns.
The name sets the baseline stats, but the mods affect everything else about its behavior.
(It's also one of the reasons that even though everyone is/can be in full exotic/legendary in a bit over a week, the hunt for 'perfect' loot will go on for a looooooooooong time - to get a full set of all primary weapon types and elements for special/heavy with the mods you want on the guns you want is going to take weeks, probably months)
No, I literally cannot hear it, period.
They set the frequency past old man ears.
Angry Joe review is long and very harsh on the game:
Titan's 'one shot melee' requires 2 seconds to charge, only stays active for ~5 seconds after charging, can be jumped over, can be shotgunned, can be fusion blasted.
If you're close enough that a Titan is shoulder checking you, he was on your radar and you didn't respond appropriately, given the time involved in activating the charge.
If it wasn't a Titan bash, you would have died just as easily and quickly to a sliding shotgun.
Treat charging Titans the same way you should be treating charging shotgunners, pull out your fusion rifle, back up, blast them and laugh when they explode.
They really need to take First Light out of the deathmatch rotation. It's too goddamn big.

Nah, mine was pretty much right there until a few days ago, started to explore different guns and playstyles and it's hurt me a bit, still got a decent KD though

It's not embarrassing at all. There will always be a way to farm in these types of games. Some people actually enjoy playing this way, as strange as that may seem.
What Bungie need to do is raise rewards from other aspects or the game, not nerf the farm.
RNGesus loves me, first legendary engram, which I got when coming 2nd in clash, and I get a legendary helmet for my class.

Yes, no.
I use my 12 round HC over Thorn in almost all situations.
There are a few edge cases where the dot is useful, but the mag is too small and the reload too slow for general use.

imo its not good. Getting an overshield off of melee as a defender seems more valuable.
I can't post a screenshot cause I'm at work but here are my stats:

can we make some sort of organized PvP GAF clan/team? I see that there are solid players here... lets make this happen.
Watch your radar. If you can see that an enemy is within radar range but not in close proximity to you, you know you have the space to charge up your shoulder charge. If you can't find the enemy before it runs out, just stop for a sec then sprint again.
Shoulder charge is more of a visceral ability than a useful one. It's supposed to make you feel like a badass, instead of be overly useful.
Try not to use it on purpose so to speak, see it like a shotgun when you are running and you meet someone point blanc. Trying to chase people to do it gets you killed.
the tigah knee is fucking awesome tho! hahah
Like I mentioned before, it takes time to charge up, and only lasts for a short time after it's charged. It's somewhere around 2s to charge, 5s once active. Just practice in pve to learn its timing.
Basically you have to figure out when an opponent is nearby and likely in range, start sprinting well before you engage them, then preferably round the corner and do the tackle the instant you're in range. It has better reach than your normal melee and can be done in midair, but it also pulls you out to third person and has a long recovery, so it's a bad idea to use if there are multiple people in the area.
It's sort of a ghetto shotgun, you can use it to win close quarters fights against unprepared people who have their primary out instead of a shotgun/fusion rifle.
If you round the corner into someone who is expecting you with a shotgun/fr though, you're gonna die. If you sprint in the open, you're gonna die. If you shoulder check one dude in a crowd, you're gonna die. And if you don't give it enough time to charge up or run for too long... yeah, you're gonna die.
It's strong, but you need to make a very conscious effort to use it, otherwise you're better off with Unstoppable for the armor bonus or the shield due to its 'free' defensive bonus, which you don't need to manage nearly as much as the charge.
It can occasionally save you if you get surprised by someone at short range, but I don't like using it for/like that, I prefer my talents to be working for me by choice, not by accident. I look at that aspect of it as a nice bonus, not the main reason to take it.
Yeh. I love it in control, but bastion and this in clash just make for edge camping. Not really fun.
Except that that clip is so small that unless you are fighting weak things you aren't going to get that instant reload. Getting it and pocket infinity have been really disappointing.

After 0 legendary engrams so far I received 6 last night. I only ended up getting one actual legendary item out of them, but that is ok for now. I got a lot of materials.
I think the only way I'm going to get anything would be to keep leveling up my Cryptarch. His gifts are wonderful.

I've had 100% hit rate with legendary engrams that were given by postmaster as a reward for leveling up Cryptarch, by 100% I mean legendary item or coins or motes but never a blue or green. I find it kinda curious..
If we didn't already have golden gun, I'd suggest something similar that, instead of just dealing high damage, marks the hit location to increase damage dealt to it for a short time. This would be massive in PVE for taking down bosses, but pretty lackluster in pvp lol.
I get that, but what I was saying was going on the "baseline" model, as what I consider the Tower vendors variants to be. The tower variant for Doctor Nope has a *massive* stability upgrade. It'll still be slightly lower than the Shingen-E, stability wise, but it's high enough to at least give it a test.
The only problem is until it is tested, it's still possible it could be inferior. The impact is slightly lower than the Shingen-E, but the ROF as y'know is insane.
The "baseline" Vanquisher, however, has a ridiculously high stability once upgraded. It looks like it'll be a great gun.
