Destiny |OT4| Get your ass to the Vault of Glass and help Timmins find better pants

There will be a mass exodus if they patch out the loot cave.
It doesn't affect my enjoyment of the game that people are farming this cave and I certainly say more power to them if it makes the game more enjoyable for them.

But let's just see about this, shall we?

Did you guys know about this? Supposedly it's all in the games files.

Yeah The Dark Below is the first expansion coming out in December and HoW is the second. I don't know if I'd call it "cut content" (I'm sure a lot of people here would though) but they are things that they have certainly been planning for, which honestly makes sense given the kind of tail they have planned for this IP.

The Jovian Complex can currently be glitched into, as well as part of the Seraphim Vault. Looks cool :)

The cave really is just a player answer to a broken loot system. You have the worst players in pve and even pvp getting rewarded because luck. Meanwhile you bust your ass in strikes, manage to see some blues and then they're downgrades? It's frustrating.

I'm guessing you have never played an MMO before

Strikes: repetition that nets nothing

vs

Cave: repetition that nets something

Interesting, I didn't do the cave and I netted enough to get to level 26. I did strikes, weekly, daily, story, patrols, bounties. You know, the actual game stuff. Crazy, right?

You must have a lot of disposable income. $60 to shoot into a cave. Good use of funds.

Can't tell is sarcasm or not.

Cave farmers finding actual gameplay repetitive. lol

I already played the game. EVERYTHING repeats. Same missions, same AI, same spawn points, same re spawns. Even the raid is a loop of repeats.

At least farming the cave you get something shiny to look at in your items list. It breaks up the repetitive loop. .

They certainly do not need to. It is merely a path of least resistance and still relies on multiple dice rolls. Unless I'm misunderstanding something could one not spend hours there without getting anything of use?

No. If you spend hours (say two) there, you WILL get something nice. In a half hour you will most likely get at least one purple, and enough blues to level the cryptarch which will get you a purple gift. At least half the time I'll get something good from either the purple from the cave, or the gift. So that's on average at least one good thing per hour.

Are any of the exotic bounty rewards really worth it?

I read about the thorn, the fusion rifle and the bad juju (wich i have) and there's always a drawback.Yeah, i know exotic doesn't mean better but still.

I gave up on my bad juju and just stored it in the vault. 5 shots, reload. A hand cannon doesn't have many bullets but each shot is powerful. With the bad juju i was struggling to kill thrash mobs.

So to those who fully upgraded this gun, does it get better? Or should i keep using my shingen-e (pve)?

Are there any legendary auto rifles that outperform the Shingen-E? And if so which? I've heard good things about the suros regime exotic, but nothing about legendaries.

The suros regime is basically an Exotic Shingen. In either case, a lot of people swear by the Galahad, but they probably haven't tried the Cydonia, which has about the same impact with more stability. Cydonia is just as good, if not better than the shingen. I haven't found out which faction sells a legendary shingen, but New Monarchy sells a legendary Cydonia.

Disclaimer: No one actually cares how you get your gear except laughable Destiny elitists.

Oh crap almost forgot.
Feature request: Autoscrap. I will never need a green or blue, but I do need weapon and armor components. Autoscrap please.

Have you done the nightfall strike? The weekly heroic?

Did the weekly heroic and got coins to buy my exotic helmet. Did it again to get the exotic bounty for a friend.

We also got a billion engrams from the mobs. Seems you are concentrating on the dice roll at the end, not what you are actually getting for playing the content.

You keep saying this, but farming loot is just as much "actual game stuff" as all the things you listed. It's a loot/xp/progression game. There will always be farming.

What about nothing drops in strikes for me dont you understand?

How can it not be cut content though? It was there in the alfa/beta, it was in the early trailers (the one's that had a cutsene with the queen's brother on earth). ;)

Also, I was asking if ppl knew the specifics - the story missions titles and content, the strikes, the raid etc ;)

Yep. Where was the "play the game my way" champion Narmer212 when people consistently farmed The Bee from Hunter Hellquist in Borderlands 2? Or the innumerable farming strats in Diablo 2?

Disclaimer to your disclaimer: I don't care how it happens either. I just don't want to hear anyone who does it complain about their lack of drops. Now, back to your $60 cave shooting hobby. Enjoy!

What Destiny really needs is an end game random dungeon generator like Diablo III's Nephalim Rifts. Something that people can keep going to and testing their gear as they level up past 20. But right now the loot system would make that a pretty useless addition anyways. D3 would give you a higher chance of getting legendaries at each consecutive Torment difficulty.

More, unrewarding, than repetitive. I cave farm while watching Achievement Hunter. I actually almost have a full Legendary armour loadout but only one of them is from the cave.

FIRST LIGHT four times in a row again tonight, I only just started playing!

shit map rotation is shit.

I keep seeing this people not liking bigger maps it seems. I much rather play on them then run into a full team of shotty's and fusion rifles on tiny maps.

I had never joined somebody's random fireteam up until now. You actually have to reenter the game even though you are right next to someone? What O_o

Again, I don't know what is so tough to understand. You are shooting into a cave. How is that fun? You spent $60 to do so.

I am fine with farming by doing PEs or dailies or weeklies. But literally just standing in front of a cave and mindlessly hitting R2? And in some cases not even doing that? Yeah, ok. Well, have fun.

He said "$60" and "cave shooting hobby". That's two drinks, everyone. If he starts going on about playing the game properly and how many marks he has, finish your drink.

You're confusing not liking First Light with not liking bigger maps. I suppose that's a consequence of only having 2 big maps.

Treasure Cave will be patched by tomorrow, I'm almost positive. Enjoy it tonight while you can guys.

I'd be curious to know how they'll do it. Only thing I can think of is to make it so level appropriate foes drop the loot. Level vs level 20 softcap, anyways.

The super of the warlock Sunsinger looks like a Super Saiyan transformation and actually is pretty powerful in PvP. I love it and right now the SunSinger is my favourite class.

Near 60h of gaming and I still have a lot of fun.
A great FPS.

I knew it. A drinking game. That means you're in college and mommy and daddy are the source of the disposable income! That makes your drivel so much more understandable. Continue on your vacation, the real world awaits.
