I can confirm for anyone interested that Sunbreaker gauntlets do speed the reload of the Universal Remote shotgun, eventhough it occupies a primary slot.

Sunbreaker speeds reload of any special weapon. However, Universal Remote is an exotic shotgun that does ridiculous damage, accepts primary weapon ammo and is slow to reload. However, Sunbreaker speeds reloads to a level where I think this combo might actually be a monster in the crucible.

I have The Comedian legendary shotgun, and on any corridor missions, I've taken to running double-shotties. By swapping weapons, I can dispense 10 straight rounds of heavy weapon level damage, both with range and reload boosting perks. Combine that with the Sunsinger subclass and helmet perks that boost grenade and super cooldowns for melee and grenade kills respectively. It's a really slick loadout.

Also, I finally got to test out the proximity detonation perk on Truth, my exotic rocket launcher. It totally maximizes splash damage of the rockets. Tried it out mostly on the magic cave, comparing it to other guys using rox. The second perk I've yet to unlock says warheads track their target aggressively. The combination is legit boner material. LOL. PEACE.

This is glimmer farming. There was an area right after a checkpoint with 8 Hive majors, with the wax idol thing you got 320 glimmer in 45 seconds. You maxxed out in an hour.

Oh, sorry. I've maxed glimmer so often via engram trashing that I don't even think about how much I have anymore.

No you still get the rewards. Not 100% sure about the black screen but when we got stuck at the mission end we still got the rewards. Went to orbit and they were there. I think they were even there at mission end, in the Options>Character screen, It was late so I don't remember.
 
So out of all the shit they want to address, they want to stop the glimmer farming first? What a fucking joke. There are WAY more things to worry about than some goddamn glimmer farming Bungie.

It's been two weeks since this game came out. How's the Destiny activity on your friendslist? First few days, there were always like 10 people on playing the thing. Lately I'm lucky if I have a couple. PS3 here.

Through the course of the day, my entire friends list plays Destiny. Might be because they're all gaffers bar one :p

I think everyone who was playing at or near launch is still playing. I have the same amount playing at peak hours as I did 2 weeks ago. But that my be because of the nature of how many of those friendships were forged.

Well you got to stop the money farming exploit to stem the flow of RMT and stop the economy from collapsing.


Oh wait, I forgot. There is no player trading or economy so there is no need to patch this shit.

My Halo clan buddies that jumped to PS4 are drying up. There are a handful of people that still play the game and are in my position (want to do raid, have to get geared).

The more fair weather people smelled the bullshit of endgame grind and are playing less or have moved on. Funny enough, a few of them are back to Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, heh.
 
I absolutely suck at pvp being as I never played a shooter on a console ever in pvp or other and I have to do thorn bounty quest for 500 void damage 5 points a kill -2 for a death. Does anyone have a group of friends that would be willing to help me get my quest done. I know its cheesy way to do it but it'll never get done regardless.

So I played the Daily Heroic..
I thought it said I'd get a Ship Upgrade and Ascendent material.

None of that happened?
Scratch that, I did get an Ascendant Energy piece. But no ship stuff.

And only get XP the first time you play it, for any level?

They have to nerf it. There's really fuck all loot in this game in the grand scheme of things. Tell me, how many time have you picked up a Mangela or something armour piece?,a hundred? That's all you basically get once you hit 20. There's next to no variety in the game at all. Imagine if every legendary drop gave you a legendary...you'd be done in two weeks.

Sadly Bungie spent fuck all time making a variety of different loot and instead found ways of making it virtually impossible to get any of it. Now that we've found a way to speed it up, they're slowing it down again so we don't all jump ship in a month.

Sad times.

Edit: when you think about it, the answer to almost any complaint about the game is "because there's not enough loot so they need to slow down progression".
 
Bungie fix your mission payouts gatdamn.

How is a level 24 strike worth as much vanguard rep as a patrol assassination mission or 2 regular patrol missions?
 
Failed on the last part of nightfall cause someone killed the spiker thing that pops up -_-


Really wanted to get this done, but it's such a grind.

Yeah it's pretty dumb. Also farming materials or public events are faster for getting vanguard marks, so they really are pointless. I liked running the Vanguard playlist when going from level 20-24 to get some gear, marks, exp all together, but there's really no reason for me to run it now at 26. It's too easy and not rewarding enough to be fun, unlike the heroic weeklies.
