Fucking WHAT!? IT'S NOT EVEN THAT HARD BUNGIE. WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS. Do you really just want to stop people from farming these missions because of the huge numbers of majors? LIKE WHAT THE HELL BUNGIE.

I just, I just can't. Why would you do that Bungie? Those missions were fun on harder difficulties.This is literally how I feel right now.

I decided to decrypt my stash of 12 legendary engrams, with these results from a Lv 13 Cryptarch:

  • 4 Rare items
  • 3 Legendary Items
  • 5 Ascendant Energies (from 1 Engram)
  • 2 Ascendant Shards (1 each from 2 Engrams)
  • 1 Mote of Light
  • 1 Strange Coin

I got 3 Rare Engrams for leveling him up which yielded another Legendary.

Shortly after that, I got my first Exotic in PvP... which was the exact same Hawkmoon hand cannon from the bounty I finished yesterday.

RNGsus works in mysterious ways.

You can see any faction's reputation progress by hovering over the circle graph on the left hand side in their shop menu, or through the smartphone app. Select Tower Map and inspect the vendor whose rep you want to check.
 
Anyone up for a last minute attempt at the nightfall? I'm a level 27 Sunsinger with plenty of arc and solar damage. Made it to the final boss below and got suck.

Went 3/4 on legendary engrams today. Got two while doing my bounties, one yielded that awesome handcannon I mentioned earlier, other gave me a pair of boots that boosts handcannon ammo. Decrypting that stuff gave me another level with the Cryptarch which yielded 2 heavy weapon engrams. One went blue and the other turned into Zombie Apocalypse. This has probably been my luckiest night to date.

The only problem is this handcannon, it's making me rethink all my scout rifle gearing choices. I don't really want to switch my entire gearing plan for one gun, especially given how much I've dumped into my gear already. We shall see though.
 
Any tips for void damage kills in the crucible using a hunter other than hoping you can sneak up on people with a shotgun or hoard heavy weapon ammo with void damage weapons? =/
 
What are the odds of the raid progress being reset with everything else in a few hours? Up to the last boss and would hate to see it go.

I managed to do it with the fusion rifle(never used them prior) and the invisibility perk set on the blade dancer. I played control, as I tried to capture points I'd be invisible and bait them to me(if all goes well you get the kills and a cap.)

fusion rifle with void and play in Rumble, don't go crazy running around the places either, just find a spot and hang around there. Bigger chance to not get swamped.

I got enough points within 8 or so games. I was playing as voidwalker warlock sure, but I never used my super or the punch really. Fusion rifle did all the work.
 
Anyone else having a large percentage of blues turning green all of a sudden? I feel the percentage of blues to greens has been creeping up over the last week. It used to be a once every 10 engrams thing, but now almost every other one is turning green. I don't even hope for a purple to turn purple anymore. I know that's guaranteed blue. PEACE.

not really keen on the templar strategy. easier to just ignore the oracles entirely and stick together to make use of the cleansing.

reading the atheon strategy though makes me sad we couldn't get it to work. too many deaths, and the portal group needs the right amount of firepower to deal with adds. they make it sound like the relic guy is god but you get sniped easily when you land after a ground pound.
 
Is the cave that much better than "we've woken the hive?" it does't seem to make much of a difference besides you being able to literally sit there and do nothing while other people do all the work.
 
just downed the first 4 encounters in vault of glass tonight! just in time for the reset :) not as hard as i thought they would be, and boy were they fun! really required everyone on the team to talk to each other
 
Yah I thought Thorn was good until I got my 13 mag legendary hand cannon that reduced grenade cooldown with kills. Fking op shit.

I'm gonna use it for a grenade hand cannon warlock build.

I still have this sexy hand cannon that has 11 rounds, and increased ranged aiming down scope. That held me down for a long time.
 
centipede errors for the first time ever tonight right after clearing vault of glass. chatterwhite best shader in game, until i find superblack, of course.


atheon really is kind of a weenie when you've got a good strat down and people don't fail miserably at killing harpies.

ground pound was one shotting the hobgoblins for us, and our relic guy only needed my help taking off the shield on the praetorian and then he'd one shot that pack too.

Yep. Hoped to replace my Mida Multi-Tool with it... Nope. Piece of shit. Then I got a hard light from an engram and everything is forgiven.

Can you kill in 3 or 4 shots? Is your aim not shit?

It has a dot which is very helpful. I can kill people with handcannons in 4 shots max. I see nothing but upgrades if I coul get a damn exotic after all these hours of playing.

Yup. He would farm it too and then go back in when he would see people coming.

I already did the strike solo :)

Was actually a lot easier to do that way and use the despawn trick.

I'm guessing it's a tend though that all exotics suck until upgraded.
 
I decided to bite the bullet and go ahead and purchase this game against my better judgement. I just want something to play lol. Good to know I'll have some people here who could help me out once I reach higher levels.

bad juju sucks even after upgraded. it's not a bottomless clip, it's an instant reload after a kill. an entire clip doesnt kill anything but dregs and thralls in heroic or nightfall, and dont even bother with it raiding.

very decidedly meh. there's a thread on reddit calling it the worst exotic in game, and i don't disagree, other than the fact that thorn and pocket infinity also exist, and probably tie it.

yeah. every level you get is a 20% damage increase to monsters of a higher or equal level. it's incredibly significant. i can't imagine doing the raid at 26 with what we had to go through tonight with 4 27's and our 2 28's

True, but Thorn sucks even AFTER it's upgraded. I wish I had known the despawn trick before I did that horrible, horrible strike.
