Btw, regarding the Queen stuff, it says "new bounties are available" but it also says "And challenging missions await those who prove themselves". So....maybe higher rank unlocks stuff? We might be judging this book early by it's cover.

I've been playing this game for more than 30 hours. Hit lvl. 20 last week and slowly crawled to lvl. 24 this last 4 or 5 days.
Until today I had not seen a single purple engram or weapon/gear or legendary.
After all this time, more than 30 hours I have only stupid blue items.
So today I decided to farm the fucking cave for the first time for about 4 or 5 hours.
I managed to get 2 purple engrams from drops, and more 2 for leveling the cryptarch, and guess what? Not a single purple weapon or armor dropped. I got 2 blue items, 1 material and a fucking green item...A FUCKING LOW LEVEL GREEN ITEM!!! HOW IS THIS SHIT POSSIBLE? FROM A FUCKING PURPLE ENGRAM!!!
I guess I'll take a few days away from this game and think about if I'll ever come back.
Loot in Destiny is launch Diablo 3 levels of bad. Actually it's worse. "Bu bu bu Destiny isn't a loot game!". Well then don't make character progression tied to your fucking gear!!!

EDIT: can I use the Queen's bounties to raise my Faction reputation?
You have to turn Destiny off and on to let it update.

Restart the game. It did this to me last week too(except it was cool because I got a couple raid loot points, restarted and got them again for the week proper. too bad it was just mats x.x)
People, don't sell your materials. You will need them for upgrading Legendary/Exotic gear. The return you get on 50 units is nowhere near worth the time.

Well of you noticed there is a Queen logo above the Daily on the planet map. It's just not available. Maybe you need to prove yourself first.
You can totally sell your materials for rep. tons of people do it. farming them takes miniscule amount of time and you never need more than like 60 or so to fully upgrade an item.
I have like 300 relic iron, my friend has over 600.

I thought I could buy an exotic PoS class item cosmetic legendary for 750 glims. Guess not because I have to grind out to Queen Rep LVL 2(!) lol.

BTW I've played 30 hours and I've seen no Legendary engrams at all so I feel your pain JJD, personally I'm trying to be zen about it. I've sworn off farming and grinding for hours on end, I'll play a couple of hours here and there until I get enough vanguard marks & rep to buy my way past 24.

Sorry you're mad, but I stopped playing that game after I kept getting nathan for all my troubles. Switched it up, got on with a Faction, started hitting the bounty board, and I got rewarded. Legendary Gear with good light levels. Decided to level that shit up in Crucible, got a Thunderlord in the process.
Start working on your bounties, both Crucible and Vanguard. It may be a chore, but at least you know WYSIWYG when it comes to the gear you'll unlock.

Haha exactly. This pretty much decided for me that I'm not gonna buy any DLC for this game. I'll wait for Destiny 2 if Bungie gets their shit together, and even then I'll wait for the reviews on that.
I did it once and got such a minute amount of rep that it seemed utterly pointless. I guess if you're doing it to supplement stuff, if you focus on it and actually material gather of this specifically surely it's a waste of time?

What happens when you complete a queen's bounty while wearing another faction's emblem?
I've just got burned of PvP after I wasted like 10 minutes on a game that was 6v3 (other 3 guys left). I don't get how this can happen. There should be a timer for those cases. If new people hasn't filled the remaining slots in, let's say, one minute, the game should end.
I remember this was what happened in WoW battlegrounds when too many people left one of the groups.

Is there some reputation that I should farm ASAP if I'm a Hunter? Right now I'm just going with the normal ones (Vanguard and Crucible, but I've gotten some of those class items that convert the reputation I get to a certain faction)
