Fucking hell Ive been on hold for 20 minutes straight at Sony Benelux helpdesk. Trying to return this shitty shitty game.

Yep, this event sucks. They really need to ramp up their future stuff to keep my interest. I get that they are selling expansions, hell I already own the first two, but if this is the kinda game you want to do you need more content faster and also for free.

I see this sort of viewpoint over and over again. I want to make it clear that there is one problem with this line of reasoning, the majority of people don't have the time to reach this point in the game. Gaffers ware outliers on the scale of people who play games. Don't believe me? Take a look at your Destiny trophies on PS4. I did last night and many trophies and accomplishments are still rare and ultra rare at this point.

It strikes me as odd that people (not saying you, Xater) literally burn through, bend or break the game mechanics and then complain that there is nothing left to do. The game was designed for a wide range of people. If it was designed with hardcore mmo/gamers in mind then the majority of average people would never see the end game.

Edit; I do see your point about free content to keep people who hit the caps and upper levels involved and I agree. I just don't think it can be major additions without shutting many out.

Iron Banner is free, and I think there are other mini events coming
And if you say "it's just a minor extension of the Crucible" I will smack you into next Tuesday

But Iron Banner IS Crucible except its insanely inbalanced. Thats even worse than normal Crucible. Having fun getting blasted by shotgun runners in crucible? Thats only the beginning lol.

I'd be happy if they unlocked the content that's already there. I still feel like I had heard or read a quote where they said that they had a 24/7 team dedicated to putting out something new each day. Can't find it now, but they couldn't have been talking about a whole team dedicated to just adding modifiers to story missions, right?

Talking about putting out something new each day....

Have anyone stood by the Bounty guy and listen to him? Is he just rambling or do you think Bungie just made all his lines already live so he is just telling us about bounties that will be opened up later?

For example he goes on about how no one has picked up the Rasputin bounty and whatnot...

I will admit, she does intrigue me. Her brother though.....I can imagine him standing behind her, constantly watching whenever she goes and has dinner with some guy. Seriously, that dude is freaky.

He's secretly in love with her. I'd bet that in the DLC you will have to kill him.

For Queen's Wrath, has anyone gotten anything *other* than the Helmet and the chest piece? I got a ship, but that's about it.

I'm just wondering if they're breaking up the rewards so you have to keep coming back every day; day 1 offers only helmet and chest, day 2 offers something different, etc.

That's what it looks like.

Spartan Ops? That had a mix of new and reused assets - but always included new cinematics and new combat scenarios. that game also had its daily and weekly challenges across PVP and campaign.

Destiny has some catching up to do.

Spartan Ops had the worst writing I have ever encountered in a game, EGGHEAD. The encounter design was the worst in the entire Halo series. I f****ing hate Spartan Ops.

anything extra is good even pallet swaps and stuff but honestly Destiny needs to be like GW2 in that events give you a new zone with things to do.

And you expect these things 2 weeks after the game releases?

wow, just wow.

I wish I had the luxury of being all purpled out with multiple exotics , but some of us have other shit to do. The Queen's stuff isn't for everyone. We know this. But I for one welcome the chance to fill in some non level 20 gear slots and get some gear for an alt rather than shoot at the loot cave for another few hours.

Yes, the game has problems, we know. But the sheer amount of entitlement thrown around these threads is mind boggling.

Lol i know... how is this fun for anybody?!

It's gonna be real fun for people who have the best gear, vanilla WoW PVP style!

The majority of average people will never see the end game. They explicitly designed it that way, remember?

The majority of average people are too dumb to be able to coordinate for a raid without dumbing it down to the point of it being just another strike. There's really no way around that, unless you did what Blizzard did, which like I said, in this game, would equate to another boring strike.

Hey now I agree with you. I am talking about in the future. Destiny is my baby, Its my GOTY but that doesn't mean somethings shouldn't be expected.

You're nuts. The writing in the Spartan Ops cinematics was actually quite good, your taking lines like EGGHEAD personally aside.

Not gonna argue about the encounter design. It got decent later, but the first couple of episodes... blech.

i wonder if they'll do what something like FF 14 does, once a new raid is out dumb down the last one a bit (maybe open up match making) to let more people complete it

Not disagreeing with that. Just saying that they absolutely did design the game with features explicitly labeled "hardcore players only," so it's a bit disingenuous to say that those players shouldn't expect more content than there is.

yes, total cap limit is 200, weekly earned is 100.

see above. weekly cap is 100 but some of us have recently discovered a total cap of 200. i love that you're not even informed about the cap, they just quietly go away off into the ether.

I was aware of the weekly cap i just thought he meant the weekly cap. I thougth it may have changed or something.

Good design would have the strikes teach you specific things like coordination and positioning and then the raid is the 'test' of all the things you learn throughout the game, so to speak. The strikes don't do any of that and arbitrarily throwing the kitchen sink at you in the last dungeon is bad design.

I don't even think there are that many issues with the game, I think people are expecting way too much out of a game that is only 2 weeks old.

Yeah... that would've been nice.

Maybe in Destiny 2.

I think there's plenty of content across all game modes, and probably everyone in here bitching every single day is giving the game every minute of their free time. There's never going to be a thing as "enough content" to please everyone.

lol, talk about a pipe dream. There is no way a matchmade group of randoms could do shit like positioning and coordination, on top of added mechanics that don't involve just shooting.

People saying the game isn't difficult or its arbitrarily difficult should be forced to run the Moon Strike on Epic. Having to actually use arc/solar damage, focus fire, work together, and be alert...Most strikes don't require that at all. 3 Hallowed Knights and 3 Hallowed Wizards will change you, especially when they resist damage not corresponding to their shield.

Speaking of shields.. Is there a breakdown of what type of gun can be used most effectively against those colored shields?

So is there any incentive ever to change difficulty? On the queens wrath mission repeat it gives you options from easy to very hard, but no loot descriptions or changes. Do random drops change on difficulty levels or is it all the same

Okay. And I think you're wrong, because you can experience every ounce of the game's unique non-raid content in <15 hours, which 2 weeks in isn't a ton of time.
